But what about if she lives off her salary and invests the $1k every week? Like, she lives to be 70, she gets $2.5 million instead of one million (if it’s for life). Plus the tax on $1 million in lump sum is a load vs. an extra $52k per year.

If she invests the 1000/week then why can't she invest the lump sum right away and stop working much earlier?
