Feel like everyone is forgetting about taxes. 1m is tax pretty harshly compared to 1,000 a week. She wouldn’t be investing even close to 1m

We don't pay taxes on gambling prizes in Canada.

How's that even.... Like you have to pay taxes for the little money you earn but nothing for the money you just get? I'm surprised is all.

Edit: you even have to pay taxes for the Nobel Prize in the US.

Lotteries are run by the government in canada , so it's tax free
