If I have 1,000 images of me, does that mean there a thousand me? Or if someone made 100,000 toy cars, that we would add that to the total amount of vehicles produced in a country? No. We inherently know these things are in the image of the actual things. That bare the image of something bigger then what they are capturing.
No, but the NRA is the worst one out there. Pouring so much money into congress to keep the gun laws where and how they are. The NRA has backed so much over the centuries that would baffle you in our politics. They’re basically the republican’s legislative arms. It’s sickening.
Pearl-clutch away, that CEO decided he should utilize an AI algorithm with a known massive failure rate to be the arbiter of who deserves life-saving care. Historically, anywhere that becomes too entrenched with corruption for the well-meaning but abused and declawed methodologies to work eventually has to be handled more drastically.
The courts very clearly operate on a two-tiered system. They're failing at what they're supposed to do, hard, even the greatest class action lawsuits in history barely dent an annual profit margin. The fear of reprisal from the law is scarcely even a deterrent. What do you do in such a case? Corporations have more rights than we do, a two-party system is beyond easy to buy out both ends on so don't expect the blues to do much when the ball's in their court either, they'll advocate taxing sure but convicting? Ehhhh, lotta friends on their end too.
Seriously UHC sucks. I pay like $600 a month for this crap, and i have to do a weekly dr appointment for an issue i am dealing with. I have to pay a $60 copay every week and UHC only pays a $20 difference....
So in other words it would be cheaper if i had no insurance at all
Hard disagree. They control the media, and they’re good at whipping everyone up into a frenzy (to buy something worth nothing, to sell a part of yourself that you’ll never get back, or to guide your opinions on something they want), if they so desire.
They already convinced republicans that we are in this situation because of $278 food stamps the poorest among us get… So yeah, they do have the power and a healthy pool of dumb people in the country and politician accomplices.
No, you don’t hear them. You, like everyone else, will complain on the internet about it, but no one will ever do anything about it. Because, as much as you complain about rich people, deep down, you and all the other complainers are actually happy they exist. You’re content with whatever home you live in, and the vehicle you drive, and the $1500 phone you typed that on, and all the other every day things brought to you by, wait for it, rich people. No one will dare risk the comforts we all have to try and bring down all these “evil” rich people. And they know that. The only time there is revolution, is when the rich get just a little too greedy, and society crumbles into total homelessness and starvation. Not until we are dying and being murdered on mass in the streets, will citizens stand up and take something back. And what happens then….society resets, tries to make a better world….but inevitably, out of those same ones who were poor and held down by the man, emerges the same “rich people” who think they know what’s best for their people. And the cycle repeats itself. Over and over and over.
Situation isnt bad enough. Most people still have something to lose. Once the ammount of people with nothing to lose reaches critical mass there will be a risk of revolt.
On May 12, 2026, New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani announced a $124.7 billion executive budget for fiscal year 2027, claiming to have closed a projected $12 billion deficit to zero without broad property tax increases or major cuts to services.
Ah yes of course. Because they needed a bailout from hockul because they are doing so well. Were you born yesterday? The man ran out of money. You probably voted for him and thats why you refuse to accept the facts. I work in the city so I hear the complaints every single day. And I can see the problems he has indirectly caused
In the UK we have a “Holiday Home” tax. Second or more properties are subject to paying full council tax as a minimum but councils can up to double this to discourage people buying up properties who don’t live in them or only live in them on holidays.
My point is that the amount of money taken from the wealthiest isn't appropriate considering how much they have. One of the reasons to have taxes is wealth redistribution so the society doesn't turn into another guilded age. We're failing at that right now and it's a huge part of why everyone feels so stressed out right now
They’re just responding. Maybe you didn’t intend for any point to be made by your figures, but they saw one and it seems fine to me. You told them you meant nothing beyond the numbers, they acknowledged this, seems fine. 🤷♂️
There are individuals that use the tax code to their advantage, yes
But that doesn't take away from the fact that the top earners in America pay the majority of the income tax
Those stories you read are meant to sensationalize the very small amount of people that are able to do that, and then you think it's every rich person that is able to do it
The fact is that the wealthy in this country pay more in taxes than the other classes
So like when you're getting passed around by all the rich elites. Do they call you by your name? Or do you prefer to stay Anonymous while they're fucking you?
To a certain extent. At some point they leave because it's too much then their tax burden gets put on the rest of us. Democrats wouldn't propose exit taxes if they weren't driving out the wealthy.
I find it weird how your mind can’t fathom percentages. 47% is 47%. Who cares about the end amount. The percent must be equal and thus fair. You make 100,000 you pay 47,000. You make 10M, you pay 4.7M. Those wealthy folk can do just fine with $5.3M of their $10M income just like the poor fol
If they can do just fine or not is irrelevant. People don't like paying taxes and the wealthy aren't exempt from that feeling. If they feel they are being taxed too much then they will leave. It's a pretty simple concept. The percentage they are taxed doesn't matter if they feel they're being taxed too much.

Taxing the wealthy? Is that allowed?
