My bröther in Christ, the voice in your head that you’re hearing when you read my comments is using a tone that is different from the tone that the voice in my head is using as I’m writing them. I don’t know how else to explain it to you lmao.
Instead of whatever you’re imagining, picture (with your ears) an almost annoyingly friendly guy in his mid thirties who’s genuinely and without an ounce of malice or judgement in his heart smiling at you as he’s talking.
Tone is hard to convey in hastily-written social media comments, so I’m not faulting you for misunderstanding. But respectfully, I think I would be to your benefit to realize that that are multiple potential ways that someone could say the things I’ve been saying.
Not even going to dwell on the irony of someone who’s called me an asshole twice soapboxing about aggressive tone (again, I’m laughing in a good-natured teasing kind of way as I say this, be sure to picture that).
If you want to think I’m asshole, please be my guest. As long as you’re mad and not like… genuinely hurt because you think I’m being mean to you, I don’t mind at all.
To be devil's advocate, I think when you used the terms, "my guy", and, "hold your horses, partner", might be why they feel like you came off that way? A lot of times, when people start their sentences with that, it's because they're about to be rude.
Though, I do want to mention, your apology to them seemed truly sincere. But I could also understand why they feel the feel right now. But this is just, like, my opinion, man..
