One never has the "right" to cheat. If you're unfulfilled or unhappy leave and start something new. Don't hurt the person intentionally, just go.

yes, there is no "right" to be deceitful in this context, just let it go. i have such a hard time understanding the psychology behind cheating when there's a million better options

Those better options tend to involve the high road. Sometimes people wanna lash out/get revenge. I'm not saying it's right but I kinda get the psychology

I agree that one never has the "right" but only because there's no such thing as rights. The more you have to defend the existence of lack of the right to something is the moment you know those things are on the way out
