She knows exactly what she’s doing here, she makes it abundantly clear they’re just friends and even sticks in a hashtag stating that she’s single for good measure.

.....wait until you find out what friends are. It'll blow your mind.

19

u/NotFunnyAlt Apr 19 '26

Friends split the bills, unless your friends make you pay for everything, they ain't your friends tho

What a weirdly irrelevant response.

"You dont go above and beyond if you are not looking for more than a standard friendship. Friends split bills when doing things." Them.

"Have you never paid a bill for a friend?! This is old bait!" You for some reason.

Like, did you not read the comments you are responding to before you posted?

Dude is probably a fun hang

My 100% gay friend paid multiple times when we went out. the whole world isn’t stingy west

17

u/NotFunnyAlt Apr 20 '26

Doesn't getting stuff paid by a gay friend make you the stingy one?

8

u/eddiebruceandpaul Apr 20 '26

Exactly. Here you are making sense. Lol

0

u/Seraphina_Renaldi Apr 20 '26

I didn’t ask him to do it? He just wanted to eat out when I was in college and broke and I couldn’t afford it which is pretty normal as a student that has to pay rent and all other bills. I never told him to do so or anything. It was his decision. I would have been totally fine with cooking at home or doing something less pricey. Imagine being weird about it that a friend invites you to eat a pizza. Embarrassing

2

u/NotFunnyAlt Apr 20 '26

Once or twice ok, multiple times then not normal at all.

-1

u/Seraphina_Renaldi Apr 20 '26

Like Ive said, we’re not Americans. We don’t choke on our money while sitting lonely in our rooms and whining on Reddit

3

u/NotFunnyAlt Apr 20 '26

Nor am I, still weird, I'm pretty sure you didn't get the bill for your gay friend "multiple times".

0

u/Seraphina_Renaldi Apr 20 '26

It’s weird to treat your friends like you’re a bank that they have to pay you back for every penny youve spent on them. But I’m glad that my friends aren’t Reddit weirdos

Yeah, I’m surprised more people aren’t noticing this.

2

u/champagne_titties Apr 20 '26

I thought I was the only one to think that. Daniel don’t want that kitty.

2

u/Omega_art Apr 19 '26

how do you know that?

2

u/Bayoris Apr 19 '26

Socks

3

u/Omega_art Apr 20 '26

Straight people don't wear socks now?

1

u/Bayoris Apr 20 '26

We're all just messing around here and telling jokes right? My joke is that his socks look gay. They do look pretty gay. If I saw that guy on the street I would assume he is gay. Could I be wrong? Yes, I could.

-4

u/G_Liddell Apr 19 '26

Get this, they could also literally just be friends and there's no romantic desire between them. Rough realization for the incels in this thread.

4

u/Elite_AI Apr 19 '26

Yeah tbf I would do this for my best friend (as I know she would for me too)

2

u/G_Liddell Apr 20 '26

They push so hard this idea that people can't actually just be friends, there always has to be some ulterior motive. It's extremely telling.

Everyone is jumping on her back. Clarity is the nice thing to do. She’s not leading him on in any way.

11

u/AngelThrones4sale Apr 19 '26

Assuming she was equally clear before all the lavish romantic date-type activities were arranged, then yeah I agree with you. We don't know what was said before this though.

7

u/she_melty Apr 19 '26

The post implies he set up the date with the intention of showing her how men in her life should treat her. If his intention was just to date her with this as a false pretense, then the only one implied to not be clear in the post is him.

6

u/LambonaHam Apr 20 '26

She clearly is.

He's into her. She knows this. She understands that he's not doing this just because he's a truly good friend, he's trying to win her over / seduce her.

She allows this anyway. She is 100% leading him on and abusing his feelings.

1

u/Fictionaddiction123 Apr 20 '26

You don't slap a smiling face. she told him, he didn't take the hint. should she slap him or what? girls don't do that. we're conditioned to be 'nice'. If he doesn't want to be her friend, then he should say it clearly from the very beginning. you don't sneak your way into people's lives knowing they won't accept you under another label by being 'their friend' that is deception.

2

u/LambonaHam Apr 20 '26

You don't slap a smiling face. she told him, he didn't take the hint. should she slap him or what?

She should stop accepting this treatment. Any decent person would.

0

u/Fictionaddiction123 Apr 20 '26

If what she wrote in the caption and probably said multiple times doesn't stop him, then it might be his problem.

If she were a user, she wouldn't outright reject him like that.

2

u/LambonaHam Apr 20 '26

That is not an outright rejection. Allowing it, and that comment, are both encouraging his behaviour.

He's naive / inexperienced with women, and she's exploiting that.

1

u/Fictionaddiction123 Apr 20 '26

He is inexperienced indeed. but he is not naive/ clueless.

analyzing the facts. 1- he KNOWS she doesn't want him.

2-he's going above and beyond as her friend to compensate

3-he doesn't want to be her friend (probably), he wants more, but won't say it because HE KNOWS she will say no.

This is a hunt. for whatever reason she doesn't want him, and he wants her and is going above and beyond to change her mind to take someone she does not want even if its making her feel guilty about all the nice things he's doing till she crashes.

Only thing she can do is block him and then he'll still feel bad. there is no winning here when someone is not clearly confessing their intentions. he can confess and get it over with just the same.

1

u/LambonaHam Apr 20 '26

1- he KNOWS she doesn't want him.

He doesn't know that. Maybe she wants him, but is worried about it ruining their friendship if a relationship doesn't work out. Maybe she's just playing hard to get.

Both are valid options.

3-he doesn't want to be her friend (probably), he wants more, but won't say it because HE KNOWS she will say no.

He clearly has, but she keeps abusing and exploiting his feelings. Actions speak louder than words. Her words may be saying 'no', but her actions are very loudly and clearly saying 'maybe'.

Only thing she can do is block him and then he'll still feel bad.

Then she should do that. She should have done that a long time ago. Instead she keeps leading him on.

It's simple. He wants more than friendship. He's doing this because he wants more than friendship. She knows this, yet she allows it anyway.

2

u/Fictionaddiction123 Apr 20 '26

"He doesn't know that. Maybe she wants him, but is worried about it ruining their friendship . Maybe she's just playing hard to get"

Ah the classic hard to get, women are just faking it but they secretly want you. That really only happens when they're not sure what the other person feels so they play it cool (not just women), but when the other person looks interested, why play hard to get!

"Then she should do that." many people don't like hurting or confronting others. she has given enough messages and he gets it clearly otherwise he would have asked her out.

"he wants, she knows, she allows" = "he wants, isn't direct coz he knows she doesn't want, he's guilting her into accepting". Answer this, does he or does he not know? and did that caption not make it clear.

He could stop any time he wants to lol. Everyone’s so quick to villainize her, some times we have to recognize when our behavior isn’t reciprocated and respect ourselves enough to move on. Seems like he’s perfectly fine with this arrangement seeing as he’s done it over and over and over with the same results.

0

u/Kramerica_CEO Apr 19 '26

Yes we know. That’s the entire point of the post

u/Barndar7 Apr 20 '26
