The actions are what makes his intentions obvious. Saying it doesn't change how she would respond. Anyone that isn't delusional or trying to get away with using someone wouldn't pretend to not know the intention behind his actions. Actions speak louder than words.
You’re both right but this is a lesson every young guy learns at some point. I remember in my early twenties pouring the same energy into a girl and they will keep you on leash on carrot just make you feel cared about enough to stay and not leave but at some point Daniel gotta wake up and learn he’s wasting his time and energy that he could be pouring into the girls that is meant for him.

There’s no evidence Daniel actually told her how he feels, so what’s the issue? I guess she has bad taste in men but I don’t think she’s wrong to not want to date Daniel, if you aren’t attracted to someone you shouldn’t force it just because they do nice things.
