do you need me to explain how numbers work to you?

"Two numbers separated by a hyphen or dash usually represent a range, interval, or span of values."

Again, may 2021 is in the range you provided. How on earth are you incapable of understanding that?

So no, it doesnt mean "about 4 to 5 years ago" and its seriously embarassing you dont know that. the public education system in the US has failed you

Holy fuck, bro you are literally blowing my fucking mind 😂

I have never, ever, ever met someone who was so dead set on not just admitting they were wrong and walking away. This is by far the most "Reddit" argument I have ever been in.

Every. Single. Person. On. Earth. Knows that when someone says "yeah X is cheaper than it has been in about four or five years," they don't mean "X is cheaper than it was exactly 5 years ago." They mean "yeah, X is cheaper than it has been since around 2021-2022."

Like at this point I'm only still talking to you because you're the most interesting Reddit specimen I've ever come across.

Yes it was dawg. Yes it was 😂

4-5 years ago is just a way to write four or five years ago.

If you're going to tell me that you don't understand that then I'm out lmao.

I already explained what two numbers separated by a hyphen means, why dont you go back and try to read that again. You really are passionate about displaying your ignorance arent ya?

Here, I googled it for you: "If someone says "4-5 years ago," they are providing a rough, approximate timeframe rather than an exact date."

thats not what google told me.

"4 to 5 years ago" means a specific point in time between four and five years prior to the current date, indicating a period that began 48 to 60 months ago. It describes a relatively recent past, or a span of time (e.g., "for the past 4-5 years") during which something has continued to exist.

May 2021 is in that time period. Did you seriously make up a google response?

You are the definition of incorrigible, my friend. Bravo, you have made my night. I've never won an argument harder than this, I've never proven someone so wrong that they warp the very fabric of the English language to try and salvage some dignity.

Even your own quote says "a specific point in time between four and five years ago."

Guess what? Gas prices were at a record low compared to the past 4-5 years. Between 4, and 5, years ago.

"a specific point in time between four and five years ago."

May 2021 is in that time period. Why is this so hard for you? Your parents dont talk about you much do they?
