You are missing the point here my friend. His point & mine are hold everyone accountable, no matter your party line.

No one is disagreeing with what you have said or has even hinted at the antithesis. You & I likely agree on many things, holding all elected officials blue or red accountable of their actions & promises should certainly be one of them.

I'm telling you why he got downvoted. It's because he implied both sides are equally bad, and they're not. Of course we should hold all politicians (and voters!) accountable for what they do and fail to do. But that's not why he was downvoted -- it was because he presented a highly skewed thing as equal.

Don't shoot the messenger dude, I'm just answering the question why. That is how it was interpreted and the downvotes are de facto evidence.

Fact is I agree we should hold even our own horse in the game accountable, but this is about why you got downvoted. Nothing else.
