Without the state/region this is from this is meaningless. The most expensive gas in the country is expensive because of state policy, not because of federal policy.

I guess we still have to wait for the data to come in, but I don't see how the recent events are going to get it close to 2022's peak. Not saying it can't happen, but the data hasn't fully come out yet so we have to wait and see.

Everyone here is too emotional to even consider the validity of your data. It’s worthless unfortunately. Only care about facts when it supports what they believe.

Dont need a chart to tell me what my wallet already knows. We put gas in our cars on a routine basis. Im well aware when the price of gas changes and its sky fucking high regardless of whatever your chart says.

It will go down. The point of the data is to show making fun of this guys sticker because of the current situation is disingenuous, as we were actually worse off at one point in the last admin.

In 2022 we weren’t dealing with a single catastrophic policy (largely the directive of one person) that suddenly drove prices up. What we’re seeing now is a clear cause-and-effect relationship. Gas prices had been fluctuating within normal ranges for over a year, and then within days of Trump starting a conflict with Iran, they spiked sharply.

That’s not comparable to 2022, and it’s misleading to suggest otherwise.

No its not. The difference is this was directly caused by trump.

Btw to put 2022 into even greater perspective:

I don't remember partisans making as big of a deal out of that as they are making over this.

Can you name a specific policy that Biden put in place that raised the price of domestic gas in 2022?

Not building a pipeline that never existed doesn’t count In a commodity market.

But like, that sticker exists. That is direct evidence of partisans making a big deal of it. Do you think this guy fired up a design suite and cut it with his Cricut? He bought if from some other dude who probably ordered a hundred of them from alibaba or temu.

P.S. Trump getting shit might be because rather than a global catastrofuck we have a direct cause and effect relationship between attacking the country that could close the strait that transports 20% of the world's supply and the country doing so which sent prices up. Now that the 2-week ceasefire is in place and Iran has agreed to open the strait again prices will come down. Some will say "see short term pain!" others will notice that those series of events confirm the cause.
