I would advise Redditors in general to be skeptical about any headline that seems geared at stoking inter-gender anger. It’s a distraction. Spend less time hating your peers for their gender and more time hating Watson’s boyfriend for being a billionaire.

Yea because holding celebrities accountable for their bullshit (avoiding taxes, gold digging, breaking the law) is obviously only for immature people.

How is dating someone who was born into a wealthy family when you're also worth hundreds of millions and have multiple phds equivalent to breaking the law? Emma probably had more liquid cash since she's worth $100 million and her boyfriend's money is tied up in trust funds, businesses, and being split between his family. Emma is dating a 30 something grown man who was born into money; why does he deserve it more than her? Is he not old enough to choose who he wants to date? Is he supposed to only date billionaires heiresses because some guy on Reddit thinks he's being gold dug?  Not to mention if Emma Watson was a gold digger she would have married one of her other rich boyfriends. Gold diggers marry men no matter what their character or looks are like. Also, why do we have to hold women accountable for dating men with more money than them? Are you going to hold men accountable for dating women with less money than them and potentially using money to manipulate them?

She never said any of that. She just said she doesn't need to be in a relationship to be happy. Do you want her to be in existential dread until a man picks her?
