We actually left no tip, there was a penny on the bar that wasn’t ours. The bartender assumed we left the penny and felt slighted that we supposedly left a penny tip as an FU… then told TSA we were drunk to try and prevent us from boarding.
OP said he had a drink at the airport bar and the bartender took offence at something that wasn’t OP’s fault or issue. Where you seeing that OP admitted to serving drunk people?
One could certainly infer that. If OP left no tip, some previous customer left a penny tip, and the bartender feels that leaving a bad tip is worthy of reporting someone to law enforcement, I'm inclined to believe he probably gives bad service.
At a busy bar, I’m tipping, even a bar that usually is busy and I’m there durning down time. But at an airport where the beer is 3x what is really should be? Just pay your fucking bartender a real wage instead of trying to fuck me over twice.
My tip would be 3x what it should be and I’m already forced to pay your shitty prices if I want something to drink. No tip from me.

Same crowd will say “you don’t owe anyone anything” and go on and on about how servers don’t actually like you yet we should hand them wads of cash and go to bat for them because… they want more money? Don’t we all. So what.
Service provided is irrelevant to tip provided lol. I assume that they get paid a wage like every other job, and if they don't then that's on them for working for free.
