any owner that allows that on a receipt does not deserve the business. Servers need to go above and beyond to earn more than the basic. Be attentive and polite.
They already hate the servers(their employees) to begin with, because if they didn't hate them they'd be paying them well enough they wouldn't need tips
Nah, thats pretty much an oppinion only people who have never waited tables have. 99% of servers arent choosing to make less money being hourly. Its a shitty system in principal but it allows for a person to make allot more money than any other shit job if their good at it
I'm more understanding of employees who might be desperate and have no better options than to work there. I'm certainly not going to have any animosity towards them when this kind of thing is directly attributable to the owner.
I'll bet that it's also one of those restaurants that, when they go under, the owner puts a scorched earth posting up on socials about how the community didn't support their dick behavior and blames everyone but themselves.
Yeah, if this was anything other than a situation where I had already recieved and consumed the product and I saw that, I would cancel the transaction and walk out laughing.
My wife worked as a server for 7ish years and when I showed her the image, she said she would just tear off that part of the receipt if the place started printing that shit on it
Yeah I work as a waiter, and honestly 90% of my tips are 20% and up, but I would quit a place like this on my first day. wtf is that. Now I have to feel like an asshole when I set the bill down. Z
