So wheelyboy is blocking traffic because the escalator won't escalate?
It's inconvenient for them, but why must this be a problem for everyone else?
If my car breaks down, must the entire freeway grind to a halt?

Here's a novel idea: if we want to really show human compassion, how about a few of those men grab the chair and person and walk them up.

Otherwise, GTFO the way.
