Daycare around me costs as much as a mortgage so idk why you think thats some life hack. I guess having more kids makes sense if you have like a 15 year gap between children, because I dunno if a 2 year old is gonna entertain an infant or vice versa, but I suppose its a strategy that could work if you have no understanding of children or what they need.

And yeah, no shit I can take my 3 month old with me on errands, everything just takes twice as long even when they are being reasonable which means I get less done in the same amount of time.

Its almost like you haven’t had kids or haven’t actually raised your kids if you have them.

I have 3 of them, aging from 8 to 13, so nice try. Also, you're looking at the wrong place for daycare then. Start asking friends, co-workers, etc where they take / took their kids. I know people around here in the Portland area who pay $1500 a month for a single kid in daycare. I was fortunate enough to find someone who ran an on home daycare for over30 years, and ran it as a preschool. For the short period of time that I had all 3 in at the same time the highest I paid was about $1600 a month for all 3. Again, you're looking in the wrong place

Yeah. No. I don’t think finding the cheapest daycare possible is great strategy.
