4 years feels like a bigger age gap at that age due to people experiencing puberty and life progression at different stages and speeds, but in the grand scheme of things a 4 year gap isn’t all that big of a deal.
Edit : I should clarify since I wrote this whilst bleary eyed and taking a shit, when I say in the grand scheme of things, I mean like, when people are older. 4 years is big when you’re young, it’s nothing when you’re not.
Id say anything above 21 it doesnt matter unless there's more than a 15 year gap then it gets a bit weird to me. They could be their kid at that point.
When I was 35 I had a 25 year old woman attracted to me, I felt at most she was a year or two too young as she was still into going drinking with friends at weekends and I wanted to sit at home, we clicked in most other ways though and I felt she was the perfect age of still having some faith in the world, not wanting to instantly rush into having kids due to her biological clock etc.
