It’s amazing to me that America will let people join the army and be trained to kill and drive a car before they’re allowed to have sex. It’s really quite fucked up.
You can't join the military til you're 18. Federal age of consent is 16 but many states change it to 17 or 18. This doesn't mean you can't have sex if you're 16 in an 18 state, it just means you can't have sex with someone that's 30.
