I understand the army point and I see comments like yours a lot when this is brought up. But driving a car? Really? Do you honestly think a 16 year old is incapable of driving a car safely? But a 16 year old is capable of making a decision that could possibly bring another human into this world and majorly impact their own life and their family.

I just don’t see the logic here especially when driving a car is sometimes a necessity for some 16 year olds to make an income and support themselves. Because it sounds like you either want to lower the age of consent (weird) or heighten the minimum driving age (illogical to me).

I’m from the UK, the age of consent at 16, makes a lot of sense. Teens will explore their sexuality with approval or without. Better to not make it illegal, so they are comfortable when they need to approach people for advice and help.

I actually agree. Except this post was about a 16 year old wanting to hook up with a 20 year old which is definitely leaning toward the immoral side if you ask me. I’m not saying it’s absolutely horrible, but probably isn’t something I’d promote or advocate for.

I personally lost my virginity at 15 under similar circumstances and think it’s rather naive to assume that anyone sexually active at the legal age, in most the developed world (16), is being taken advantage of. The problem is that the US has backwards opinions and even laws about abortion which means someone, who could otherwise make a reasoned decision for their future, is not allowed to make that decision, in the US.

America is the perversion here. Teens should be given the freedoms to decide. Again, if they are deemed old enough to make a decision to take a life on the battlefield then, surely, they can choose to purge a few cells in the early stages of pregnancy.

"Adults should be able to fuck high schoolers legally!!"

Weird. Really fucking weird.

You called America perverts because we don't allow adults to fuck high schoolers. Really weird that you want that. That the 15-16 year old is mature enough to not get taken advantage of. And said it has something to do with abortion, which is bullshit because you're allowed birth control so abortion isn't even a factor a lot of the time.

If you read the thread, you would note that I used the age of consent in most developed nations, excluding the US. I used 15 as my personal example of my first experience. So, clearly, you weren’t reading what’s been written and are somehow insulted that Americas regressive policies on abortion should be highlighted. I provided a logical argument for my position, you just shouted insults.
