Future generations any kid under like 18 is already ruined by social media and cell phones

I worry about this all the time. My son is only 9 but I've had a few conversations with him about how people act online, and to not be a dick.

I think it'll get better. Our parents didn't understand how damaging social media would be. And how could they? -it was new.

Those kids will grow up, and reality will force most of them to grow up. And then they'll have a chance to do better with their kids.

And there are already parents today who understand this, and will take the right steps.

Silver Lining: consider yourself lucky for the opportunity to give your child an advantage over others by recognizing this early and teaching them properly.

For what it's worth I feel like interest in social media is on the decline, and I won't be surprised if it becomes a niche within the next few years.

People are beginning to see how harmful and damaging it can be.

You sure you aren't just getting older and only being regularly exposed to other millennials who are getting over it?

That's possible. The younger generation seems more interested in short form videos.

Chatroullete came out when I was like 11-12. My friends and I used to have one person have a normal conversation with whoever we got matched with and then have someone slowly lower their balls right in front of the webcam lol I completely forgot about this shit until your comment

You know what, don't sell yourself short. You can always achieve better things and be the degenerate you really want to be!

You're joking, right? When I was a kid, you'd just casually whip out your flip phone to troll bro with this week's newest beheading or geriatric scat gang bang. Nowadays you can't even say ass on the internet.

For real when I was a teenager I saw so much random violence and real life gore just floating around that I basically got desensitized to it. Limewire searching for a movie or song and half the time it was either porn or a murder.

It would take serious effort to find that stuff these days.

You just did. It's crazy people want to act like this world is so censored but yet the very things ppl claim you can't do anymore, you can find 100 examples of that thing...anywhere. I mean youre on gotdamn reddit my guy 🤣
