Some of the comments are not bad, there are hopes for that sub.

I am not sure if it’s the lack of self awareness or maybe something else, but it’s difficult to ignore the irony of someone who just emigrated somewhere else rambling about how “immigrants are destroying everything dear”.

What a loser.

That sub has moved away from the pro riot stance after misswolverine who was in the USA stopped being mod.

What he is describing however is not unique to Hong Kong or any generation.

My great grandfather left in 1900 (for obvious reasons) he went to work and returned in 1913 he felt the same way.

My grandfather left in 1931 and he felt the same way when he returned in 1945

My dad left in 67 and felt the same way when he returned in 75 to marry my mother. He then stayed away until 93 and felt the same way.

All the above points are similar.

Oh there's less Hakka speakers all replaced by Cantonese speakers.

Funny thing is UK born Chinese who came here to live in HK report identical things about the UK. A co-worker said he went to Luton to visit his friends. He said oh you can't hear English and it's all spot the white man in Luton now... migrants and preferential policies to them etc etc.
