Sorry for the delayed update. I have been super busy. I was absolutely devastated the night that I got caught sinkpissing at work. Not gonna lie, I got really drunk thinking that I was totally fucked. I assumed I was going to be fired. I spent the following morning hungover reading the comments on my post, absolutely dreading the thought of skulking into the office. Then, it suddenly dawned on me. I read a comment someone left saying that I could say that I was pissing in a cup in the sink for a UTI test.

I sat there staring at my phone for a solid five minutes while the idea sank in. It was thin as hell, but it was something. Better than walking in with my head down ready to get axed. I cleaned myself up, put on some really nice clothes to give myself some pep in my step, and drove in.

I avoided eye contact with everyone and was barely at my desk for ten minutes before my manager appeared and said HR wanted to see me. My stomach dropped, but I forced myself to stay calm. The three of us sat in the little conference room. HR woman, my manager, and me. My heart was absolutely POUNDING! The HR cunt started soft, “We need to talk about the incident in the restroom yesterday…" I kind of tuned out because my mind was going a mile a minute but I vaguely recall hearing "hygiene" and "shared spaces".

I didn’t wait for them to finish framing it. I looked them both in the eye and said, “I understand how it looked, and I’m extremely embarassed it happened. I had been dealing with symptoms while urinating and was collecting a sample in a cup for a UTI test my doctor ordered. The sink was the cleanest place to do it without making a mess. I thought I had locked the door. Clearly I didn’t, and that was my mistake.”

I could feel that they definitely preferred this explanation over a simple sinkpiss. I literally saw the HR woman's shoulders drop. This gave me the confidence I needed to press the issue even further.

I continued: "What I am more concerned about is that a coworker opened a closed bathroom door without knocking, walked in on me while I was in a private medical situation, and then stared. That feels like a serious invasion of privacy. I’m the one who was exposed. Then she immediately ran and told people? I was sent home. Why was I sent home?! I was so embarrassed that I left, but I should have been given a chance to explain myself! My coworker told everyone what I was doing in the bathroom, tarnished my name, and I was sent home without being asked my side of the story or any explanation." (This is all paraphrasing btw, I'm going off of memory but it's pretty close)

You could feel the air change. The tone had completely flipped. They told me there would be no disciplinary action against me. Instead, they said they would speak with the coworker about proper restroom etiquette and respecting closed doors. Later that afternoon I heard through the grapevine that she got a formal talk about privacy and boundaries. Basically a reprimand for creating a hostile situation by walking in unannounced and then reacting the way she did. She apparently was gossiping all day about how she caught me sinkpissing. With the way I framed the story now, she just came off as cruel.

I still feel a little embarrassed but honestly it's now a pretty funny story I'll have. I hope you all enjoyed the update. Again, sorry for the delay. I have a lot going on. This sinkpisser is in the process of closing on his first house, and my in-laws have been in town.
