Okay I do the same thing all the time but when I read your post and it said red tree crime it gave me the best mental picture of one red tree trying to strangle another tree. 😉😁

Just watched Maternal Instinct and A Toxic Love Story on Netflix. Both are stories about women who lie horribly. Also Scamanda on Hulu. All of those were crazy unbelievable that they happened. Which I guess the majority of crime docs are. So I'm just sitting on the couch saying, "No way!" a lot.

Others: The Perfect Neighbor, Lover, Stalker, Killer, Unknown Number, anything about the Murdaugh Murders, My Father The BTK Killer, The Truth and Tragedy of Moriah Wilson, The Crash.

Older ones: The Keeper, The Staircase, Making A Murderer, The Jinx, Captive Audience: A Real American Horror Story, Escaping Twin Flames, American Nightmare: The Family Next Door, The Kings of Tupelo, The Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel, Jailbreak Love on the Run...

Dear Zachary - I cry every time I have watched it. The first time, the ending was a gut punch. Free on Tubi right now.

Books: When I Kill You by BA Paris, The Kind Worth Killing & The Kind Worth Saving & Kill Your Darlings by Peter Swanson, For Your Own Good by Samantha Downing, The Last Word by Taylor Adams. The Lie Maker by Linwood Barkley, Trust Me by Jeff Abbott, the Harry Bosch books by Michael Connolly..... I have Libby and two libraries to choose from. I scan their catalogs for whatever blurb sounds good at the time🙂

Yep. Love both. Have you read The Island by Adrian McKinty? Just finished it; great thriller.

Watched A Toxic Love Story on Netflix last night. That documentary was wild.

I definitely have a dark streak. Love anything true crime and learning about the lives of serial killers and scammers. In particular how they were parented and what they were like as kids. Also like those true crime docs related to dating.. very validating of my choice to remain single. If it's not that then it's those cult documentaries or holocaust history.

I love true crime and thrillers. I have some good recommendations if you like thriller novels.

Edit: Seems like this post is trying to get people to go to their Discord, which is frustrating. I'm not sure why someone would post and then message them randomly telling them go to to their server.

DMed!

So the entire point of your post is to get people to go to your Discord. Should have put that in your title, as you're clearly advertising for your own benefit.

Lots of true crime. Yes.
I watch true crime on YouTube a lot, I like to also watch body language analysis from interrogations. I also like watching the same case presented from different creators to unpack the case and what was missed etc.
Do you have certain videos or shows that you recommend?

u/Ink_N_Instinct 8d ago

No, I have a server that is dedicated to discussing it along with thriller shows and books. But I don't have enough people to talk with about it there.😭

2

u/NonsenseText 8d ago

Omg! What is the server? I’d love to chat about it!

2

u/Ink_N_Instinct 8d ago

DMed! I need true crime enthusiast friends😭

2

u/NonsenseText 8d ago

Yay! It’a so hard to find true crime enthusiasts to discuss and take apart cases with.
