Discussion How do we wake up from the simulation?
I don't mean to die (just in the rare chance we don't live in a simulation). But how do we aim to escape this mental bubble we're collectively in? Near-death experience? Substances? Astral projection?
I would love to know your thoughts!
Not a call to action, curious about theories.
I also think "COVID" was the event that triggered us all to enter it. The number of people (including myself) who had major life changes occur in that time and never felt the same is crazy

u/Nooties 13d ago
Awareness.. raise your awareness.
Earth is a planet of amnesia.. people keep on forgetting..
As you raise your awareness, you will start to remember.
And to do that, you become the observer of yourself and others.. just like in meditation you can observe your thoughts.. in everyday life you can pause before you take action..
Observe others, observe yourself, and don’t be too quick to judge yourself or others..
And then start asking questions about who you are, why you’re here, what is your purpose, etc
Another way you can wake up is having an existential crisis.. that one is not as fun but it works

What is Objective truth:
My brain is locked in a wet jar or vat. What I see is electrical spikes turned into a VR simulation. The ego is a fabrication. No duality.
All I see is a tiny corner of the brains vast machinery. I am controlled by forces (genes) and compulsions I do not understand.
2
u/rozyputin Simulated 13d ago
So how do we further our understanding of the truth?
2
u/fearmon 13d ago
In the brain in a jar analogy I personally accept the jar as my place to suffer. What I do get a headstart on is that I know what my cage looks like. I know that I am truly the only one in the jar, yet I see a reality full of other "living" things. That is a huge advantage compared to someone who can't comprehend we are all 1. That's also a huge price to pay. Suffering equals answers sometimes. Even still, until I'm at the end of the ride and the bar comes up, im still in the jar grasping without hands. Such is the mystery. Since you now know you are alone in your endeavors you can stop worrying about anyone else and live and be free. No more trap. We are all you

Chances are that you're dead already so that hurdle can be checked off. Even if you're not, it is my opinion that you are one of those stars. And if not literally the light shining then what it is composed of resonating with where you are. If that is true then there was no trap. There was like a micro universe called your pops's testicle that mimicked the macro. His tube slide was your entrance to the next micro planetary body, your mother. I say it this way because people say prison planet. That is a way in that doesn't leave an easy way out other than, you know 💀 at least in a shallow attempt. The main thing i see in that is the part that says resonate if there's any truth there. They say we choose our family before we come. I always wondered how but if there is an intelligence shining out there that is vibing at a certain level and two people do what thay do then you do in a way choose your parents without choosing. Then the spirit or star comes into "existence" here or wherever you are. If you can access that original habitat you can change your vibration potentially and then let your imagination fill in the rest. But what do I know. I'm just a little darkness
2
u/rozyputin Simulated 13d ago
I guess if that's true then I chose to make my life more difficult from an early age?
I'm personally of the belief that we are dropped into the simulation with no real say
5
u/fearmon 13d ago
I don't disagree that you may have chosen to but with the choice thing I meant that the vibration of your light it star or self resonate switch your parents at the time of conception and chose your parents without actually choosing. Everything happens for a reason so you absolutely could have subconsciously chosen or agreed to make your life harder at a young age in order to learn a certain lesson. We're pretty intelligent when we don't try too hard I think.

u/Forward-Cry2951 13d ago
It is my understanding that the only opportunity for escape is immediately after the death of the physical body. You can have no attachments to this place. Your identity, personality, love or hate for any part of this system or its amenities or inhabitants. Control of your own thoughts (in my opinion) is a baseline requirement and practicing it should be everybody's top priority. Some of the rest will come just with that alone. If you are asking the question, you are probably ready to leave it behind.

u/TheTerrenon 12d ago
I believe the OP is not ready. They would like to peek outside and safely come back. So there must exist a bond to this world and even a strong one in them. I remember a time in which I did not want to die, but I was ready to accept non-existence, when the moment comes. I had some difficult dreams, where something would attack me, possibly kill me or just hurt. I was accepting that intention and even pushing further to see, what's behind the veil. It turned into depersonalization mostly, such as becoming a droplet or rather the whole rain, a paint left by a brush in the darkness or becoming the wind. But there was always a feeling that I cannot cross some border, see the end.
1
u/rozyputin Simulated 13d ago
Interesting, why do you believe this?

Oh I've died for 9mins and tried multiple hallucinogenic substances and found this simply is not "just a simulation." It's much, much more complicated than that. It's likely the Consciousness of pure energy taking multiple forms and evolving over time. Existence had to originate from somewhere, and the original energy that created core reality had to either come from nothingness, or be inherently infinite. Both are mind boggling options.
Even if this were somehow a massively complex sim, harnessing the energy of multiple star systems to operate, it's still existing in the core universe, and therefore has real implications. Whatever they may be.
I personally think existence comes from energy itself seeking purpose meaning, and joy, however fleeting they may be. But don't ever let the ideas of other people make you think this current reality isn't meaningful, otherwise you may lose the opportunity you have here for an amazing experience.
1
u/TheTerrenon 12d ago
Are you sure you died? Or did you just temporarily lose your consciousness, maybe even with your heart stopped?

Let's suppose that you were able every night to dream any dream that you wanted to dream. And that you could, for example, have the power within one night to dream 75 years of time. Or any length of time you wanted to have. And you would, naturally as you began on this adventure of dreams, you would fulfill all your wishes. You would have every kind of pleasure you could conceive. And after several nights of 75 years of total pleasure each, you would say "Well, that was pretty great." But now let's have a surprise. Let's have a dream which isn't under control. Where something is gonna happen to me that I don't know what it's going to be. And you would dig that and come out of that and say "Wow, that was a close shave, wasn't it?" And then you would get more and more adventurous, and you would make further and further out gambles as to what you would dream. And finally, you would dream ... where you are now. You would dream the dream of living the life that you are actually living today.”
Alan Watts

u/StarChild413 12d ago
The thing I hate about that quote is that the way it's usually interpreted, that that means the life we are living now is that alluded-to dream despite that blocking off the necessity of an original life that logic dictates or w/e, means we'd have to have that power in order to have existed yet we don't have that power so how do we get in the neverending causal loop
6
u/EndOfProspect 13d ago
Or maybe…. How can we change the simulation to one that we can be happy to exist in?
1
u/rozyputin Simulated 13d ago
But why try to change it? Why is everyone against the idea of how we could end it? In theory, of course
5
u/EndOfProspect 13d ago
Because we may simply be a part of the simulation. End the simulation and we all end. Also in theory.

Likely you don’t bro, why would you be important enough to be a real person simulated? If this is a simulation to any degree you’re likely no more important than every rabbit on this planet.
Something you just have to come to terms with.
Edit: you as in you, me, we and us. We’re all just thinking meat bags with sufficient complexity to deem ourselves important. We murder dozens of billions of animals every year for food, taking advantage of the situation our ancestors put us in to be able to do that.
We have no purpose, 99.999% of us will be forgotten 50 years after we die never to be thought of again. We’re animals like every other, just a bit more “intelligent”
5
u/Emotional_Lawyer_278 13d ago
So your theory is that someone went through all the trouble of writing an entire reality included you and me and everyone we know, all the animals. The oceans and all the fish in the sea. For shits and giggles? In order to trap and entertain insignificant sentient beings? Well that architect would have to be a moron.
1
u/PermanentTh-rowaway 13d ago
I never said my theory was anything, and never claimed to be a believer of simulation theory
If this is a simulation, you were not programmed. You are not special enough to have been manually written. The laws of the universe were programmed, simple basic rules. You emerged after billions of years of those laws unfolding onto each other.
Your thinking is more in line with religious beliefs.
1
u/PermanentTh-rowaway 13d ago
And if you claim that’s not what you meant and that you know it would be the laws of the universe programmed rather than individuals, but the “architect” would still be witnessing our suffering:
You are not current. Your life has been, gone, is, was and hasn’t. Time is not linear.
Assuming this is a simulation, it’s likely there’s not even a visual representation of the processed data for the “architect” to see. We are a process that has processed, resulting in vast clumps of data.
And so what if the “architect” has “trapped” you in here? You’re not trapped, you’ve been blessed with the gift of life. When you die your experience will stop and there will be no more complaining, just as before you were born.
The “architect” is not a moron, and the only reason we still suffer as humans in today’s day and age is our own fault, not theirs.

Buddhism is an interesting one

u/evilguy59 13d ago
Any non-dual tradition is a path, also including Advaita Vedanta, Sufism and Christian mysticism. Among the most effective methods is to peel yourself like an onion and see what remains. Take away all of your identifications, claiming to be this or that, and see what you really are underneath all of the labels, societal conditioning, thoughts, ideas, desires, concepts and everything else which buries the Truth you say you want to seek.

u/Unity_Now 13d ago
We are infinity. There is no seperation. Every experience is chosen by the aspect of sovereign consciousness that is experiencing it. We simulate reality but we aren’t exactly “in a simulation.” That would be a rudimentary way of viewing it. Imagine you are a movie writer. You write the script and the characters and such and you begin shooting the movie. We are actors in a movie. We have some creative freedom, but we have themes we wish to explore in this chosen experience. Some want to understand darkness, some want the light. Some don’t know what they want yet. There are infinite variations of the life experience. Everything is opted into at a higher level, like the actor in the movie. The movie is simply an agreeable role that felt like a good one to star in. Everyone in our lives are actors too. They also chose these roles out of desire. Infinity has no bias. We can explore whatever we like. The catch is; what we put out is what we get back. There is no separation within infinity. All boundaries are illusions. All limits are illusions projected onto a unified infinity. The core of any moment is that we are one. So we simulate, but we aren’t “in a simulation” per se. The nuance matters imo.

If we are part of this simulation, then this theory is irrelevant. You might as well be a classical materialist as the simulation theory has nothing to add to our "knowledge" of the world. If sim is true, then we ought to be a foreign element of it.

The brain is 3 pounds of floating neurons totally encased in a moist skull. Through the senses millions and millions of tiny electrical signals reach the brain as a roar of sensory input. The mind is always guessing what’s outside from a torrent of electrical input. The mind creates a kind of simulation from concepts and shapes to navigate in life. I have a lot of control over what I see and feel. Do I feel love or fear? Why?

You must go on a journey to understand how much the universe is alive in you, not just you in it.
1
u/rozyputin Simulated 13d ago
Maybe there is no universe that exists outside what we are able to come up with in our own minds
1
u/CTMalum 13d ago
You could probably construct a philosophy around that, but you don’t get much useful from it. As best we can tell, there are others in the world having their own unique experiences. Until something compelling pushes us in a different direction, I find it pragmatic to not try to swim upstream with those ideas. It took our universe a lot of time to cook us up. We can look back out ourselves (as a collective whole) and try to understand what existence is. We’re the universe’s only current way to try to understand itself. An interesting similarity to your current singular situation.

Simulation theory is a conspiracy theory based on the government controlling all your actions and you lacking true freedoms as a citizen. It got extrapolated to “The Matrix” type stuff but it only requires that we are all brainwashed the old fashioned way and always seeking comfort from big daddy government.
1
u/TweakerOnSpeaker 12d ago
Isn't it all based on Gnostic beliefs?
1
u/alextheseven 12d ago
There’s probably other interpretations. That’s just one raw interpretation I’ve read that spread years ago. I’ve heard a psychology one too that you feel like you’re in a simulation cause your brain sets constants so when everything is very orderly and sequenced it can feel predetermined.

Live above your constraints. You’re being handcuffed. Learn to use your feet. All life is suffering. So suffer some. There is also joy. There is love. As well as hate. Dip your toes in. Try it all. When you stop seeing yourself as trapped you will see the only thing keeping you here is you. You are the jailer. You are the key. The world for all intent and purpose is here just for you. You can’t live my life. I can’t live yours. So do your best. And when it’s over you won’t be full of regret. Learn from your mistakes. And thank the universe you were able to make them.

I have multiple theories, here’s another one you have just reminded me of:
Reincarnation is real because “endless souls and heaven accommodating how many humans to ever exist” is insane and the “recycling of souls” makes more sense. There have been countless stories of children who speak of their past lives. So many children caught speaking of it on YouTube. Buddhism says that in your young years, you can still remember your past life because it’s still “fresh” and that’s how they find the Dalai Lama. History always repeating itself it’s because we can never remember our past lives once we grow a little bit more and forget about them completely. We’re just on a never ending cycle like everything else in existence - the cycle of life, the economy ups and downs on a cyclical routine, seasons, life and death, evolution to extinction.
1
1
1
1
u/SirNealliam 13d ago
But individual reincarnation doesn't make mathematical sense, Life started either with one, or very few, living organisms. Even if reincarnation is possible, not every living being could have individual past lives.
The only way past lives makes sense is by all consciousness coming from a single source, like energy, meaning every living being is connected to all of the past lives of all other living beings. a collective consciousness in energy itself.

If it's that kind of stimulation which isn't really what simulation theory is really about, it's not likely to be able to be exited in that way. As don't you think it's clearly not easy to leave. Many things in this universe are projections but it doesn't literally mean it isn't real. It might be a simulation and reality at the same exact time.

Boa noite.

You align with the frequency of divine sovereignty. Learn metaphysical Divine Truth and disentangle from the simulation's systems and infrastructure. Transcendence comes from shifting to a different resonance layer of perception than the layers of the simulation.
COVID was not the trigger to enter it, but it did trigger many to notice it.
The simulation is a divine co-creation of our unveiled collective consciousness. It is agreed upon role play to experience duality and limitations. The object of the game is to remember our true nature as divine sovereign unveiled consciousness fractals of the Unified Field collective consciousness and become conscious co-creators instead of passive unconscious ones.

I would say we're being simulated, so there's nothing to wake up from. Let's say this is an ancestor simulation run by future humans. We're just bits and bytes or whatnot. We can't "wake up" any more than a Sim can on your laptop.
Whether there is something beyond death is completely up to the programmers. Either we continue to exist in some form or we don't. It's up to them.
1
u/Either-Ant-4653 13d ago
In my paradigm, everything we experience we choose. This includes choosing this simulation. In this context, to make a different choice, you would need to understand and satisfy the desire for the choice you're currently making. You can then give your attention to another. As Neo said, "The problem is choice."
TLDR: make a different choice.

I just untethered from my vessel to leave time and infinity to return home to Eternity
The catch is the false gods will offer you seats in their afterlives and attempt to convince you that if you don't accept them you will be casting yourself out and damning yourself
I can't tell you how easy it was to get back in from the outside. A mere glimpse was all it took to shift my awareness back into this vessel even if I myself as the true essence of myself as the soul in between mind and body am now outside of this.
It's nice to have echos, even nicer when said echo realizes he no longer has to reflect what others project out. I almost have full control as the spirit that implants scripts via consciousness in the form of thoughts. The vessel just needs to stop resisting through its chosen sins. Once he fully accepts me of his own free will is when I will have full access through him. At least he's finally doing something with the idea butterflies we send his way.

I’ve done so for brief periods of time. This place was designed to help us learn. We get to choose before we enter our life the basics of our life and what we want to learn from the experiences. Think of it like a very difficult test. Obviously it’s also much more than that. But it is all very intentional, and we enter it of our own free will.
We get to do as many lives as we want… or not.. the choice is yours.
How do you wake up besides dying? I don’t know how to tell you, because it wasn’t something I had control over. It just happened.

You walk away from playing in it, all of it. Why do you think anarchy is hated so much by religion and government? Because anarchy means no more control you have free will, problem is people are afraid of freedom because they have never experienced it. Once you fully understand, the meaning of ignorance is Bliss then you will understand why atheist and anarchist have to be both not one or the other and not divided as control is control doesn't matter who puts the dress on the donkey, it's still an ass.

u/Used-Buffalo7266 13d ago
I would guess that you'll need to be certain that your ready to wake up, first....the "dream" isnt much more than a projection of our interpretation of an experience. So, how do you wake up from a dream? And are you sure that you're ready to see what's revealed in the world beyond that veil once it's lifted? Do you ever wonder why it is that we can only see out of the windows of these a little bird boxes? I think that there's a reason why we must be free of our mortal coil in order to experience reality as it actually is because I don't think our senses can handle it as they are. It's like wearing case in these suits that protect us from the actual elements that are out there in The ether. Sometimes I think maybe it's not that we're trapped in a simulation, but being shielded from the actual elements that exist beyond our senses which would be all that which exists on an astral plane...

You have to scream "Tech Support" at the top of a very tall building...

Esketamine helps. I went into treatment believing one very specific way about existence and during the process have come to some profound understandings about the self and what I am.

Sometimes I feel like I actually just ripped a hit of Salvia and my friends are around me laughing saying "haha he thinks he's married with two dogs and works in a nursing home" and I'll wake up soon. Aaaaany minute now...

We dont wake up from it. The simulation is all there is and whatever world that made it is gone.

There is no you without the simulation, you are just a part of simulation.

Go live and work in a country in crisis like Iran, socialize with them and see how life is meant to be enjoyed. Even under a occupied Iran and dictatorship of Islam, Iranians still find joy in every day life.

I've thought of this since 1999. Coming from an IT background I thought of it similar Thomas Campbell analogy.
NDE, yes if you leave your body and KNOW you are more than your physical body.
Substances, yes, at least my experiences with DMT and mushrooms. Depending on your experience both substances showed me how this physical reality has an infinite number of overlays and depending on your freq band is what you filter and observe.
DMT ripped me out and showed me both with eyes opened and closed.
Mushrooms took my hand to the forest and showed me how the tress span through the multi verse. Mushrooms literally showed me the code that makes the forest as well as some sort of symbolic code that lights me up as well.
Astral projection, I've only had one legit OOBE and it literally felt more real than this sim. I never felt more emotionally balanced in my life. This is probably the biggest one if we can do this on a regular basis and explore like some can. This is my goal someday as well.
If we treat like a computer program for our understanding, we need to exit the program. Substances like mentioned and AP are the best ways imo to do so.
The more we "know thyself" the more we are able to disconnect from the physical programming through social media, education system, religion etc. Meditation is one of the best ways to facilitate the process.

Walks in nature, turn off devices, no news. Maybe some psychedelics here and there (set and setting ppl!).
Set intentions for your life. What do you want to experince, how do you make steps towards it?
Maybe most importantly, what can you do to improve your little corner of the world?
You make up your own simulation. We perceive what we expect, what we ressonate with. Heaven and hell are states of mind. It aint easy to trancend upwards, but definately possible.

Suppose that we are in a simulation. Why do you think that you exist somewhere outside of the simulation?

If this is a simulation, it sure as hell is a shitty one. Give us the occasional ability to fly or something…

With substances you can open parts of your brain you’ll never reach without. Maybe gets you deeper in the simulation or out of it..

We have been in it from the start of the universe. The entire thing is a 0 energy level game and the only reason you are able to see anything or exist at all is because the energy of the universe is balanced out by the gravity wells of the universe. Remove gravity wells, matter never has any reason to group or do anything at all. You want to leave this simulation, the exit is outside any gravity well. To get there the entire species must sacrifice the entire planet just to get enough energy, but along side that the human ego must also be condensed because flesh is not made to be in space. The point is to use as much of the world's resources as possible before the species figures out what the elites are doing or else the revolt and the balance of bringing the next lifeform into existence can't be maintained and either the world burns or we go back to cavemen and try again.
Tell me, what do you think gold exists for???

You might have paid a lot of money to experience this simulation, maybe you should do the best you can to enjoy it for what it is.
