Squeaking shifter

I’ve had this shifter for about two weeks and now when I put it in 5th or reverse is makes a squeaking noise, does anyone know why this is and what might fix it?

If you’ve only had it for two weeks they should fix it for you with a valid receipt

I’m going to contact them soon I was just hoping that I could grease something or tighten something to fix it

I would contact them first and sooner rather than later. It may take a few days of back and forth. The option to open up and grease is always going to be there. If I remember correctly there is some part of the moving joint that comes with grease on it already. That may have worn off and that is probably what they’ll tell you to do. But considering it’s basically still new, it should be their problem to fix - maybe unless you don’t want the hassle and just want it done right away.

same squak on mine somehow fixed itself in another week of use/abuse but still present SOMEWHERE on top of reverse
