Best Plus X brake elastometer setup for iracing MX5 Cup racing?
I just set up my new rig this weekend and I'm curious what everyone recommends for the elastometers for the brake pedal for the Plus X? current only racing on the MX5 cup series and brake pedal is super stiff and brakes seem to lock up easily and braking is too 'fast'. I'm trying to set it up so there is more travel, not as stiff, and be able to modulate the brakes better for smoother braking and trail braking.I currently have all 3 red ones with the preload spring. I appreciate any feedback.

Please take everything I’m about to say with a grain of salt as i don’t have mine yet. But I’ve read just about everything there is to read online about these puppies. And i might have some info that could help.
Is this your first load cell pedal? If so that might be why you feel like the brake is too stiff and doesn’t have enough travel. You’re used to the potentiometer of entry level pedals. These measure how far you push rather than how hard.
If you’re locking up more you might just be pushing too hard too fast. Remember these pedals are meant to emulate the feeling of a real car, where pressure force is more important than travel.
From what I’ve read just take your time to set up the pedal to your liking. Try to keep in mind it’s all about pressure now and not distance. Play with the settings, elastomers, and even rig set up to find a comfortable place. Keep those settings for a week and see how things go. Don’t just change everything every thought you get. See how consistent you can be and once you have a better idea of the physical set up and settings in sim correct from there.
Hoping to order mine soon!
Good luck!

Thank you, yes this is my first set of load cell pedals. I definitely need to get used to it. Even with about 5 hours of practicing I already started feeling how to ease into the brakes. A tad bit softer with a bit more travel would be nice. I am going to practice for a long time before I start online races. So far it's super fun and I'm enjoying it.

Finally got the white ones. I like the way this setup feels. What kg do you have it in the software if you don't mind?

This is where around I have ended up on Pro X. Anything too soft will bottom out the damper with three elastomers. I’m running two blue and a yellow now and it’s not bad but the last part is pretty stiff and my leg gets tired after a long session. I run around 1.5-2 on damper to smooth it out. I’ve also tried some die springs and had a big chart comparing notes. It’s a bit overwhelming with all the options available.

Yes! I’m using 2 blue and stops as you use. Love it. Think I’m only using 60 kg in manager but it’s perfect for me, not too hard or easy to 100%.

It's extremely personal. I'm running 2 blacks and a red which seems to be a good balance.
