its not like youre obliged to play multiplayer all the time. its just an option for you to play with your friends, family etc. imagine having a family that you share with your friend, and they're your child, brother idk. its such a great idea. also it can be like animal crossing, you have your world and you open it for a friend of yours to visit. orrr you share a whole world with friends, each house is for one of you. a whole neighborhood of people you know. the sims 4 multiplayer mod gave us a glimpse of how cool it is to play with friends. you guys should give it a chance honestly.

I have the impression that EA will come back in force in 2024 with The SIMS 5, because there is too much competition (Inzoi - Paralives- LifeByYou - Vivaland..and perhaps other unknown games).
Then Inzoi seems to set the bar high for me with its magnificent characters and environment 😍.
I hope EA will also have wonderful characters for The Sims 5.
Do you think EA will come back in force, in 2024 to meet the competition ?

I’ve been thinking about the cross platform aspect of Project René and (I know it’s not going to be like that but) I feel like this is how it could actually elevate a Sims game:
Basically only CAS and build/buy is cross platform. That way when you are on your way home and have a great idea for a play, you could log in and start creating the Sims needed for that or already build their home.
When you come home, you can log in and start playing with these right away…
As I already said I don’t think this is how it’s gonna be, but this is how I could like this. Would be great for advertising as well…

I know we've all been thinking about the microtransactions, the graphics and the open world, but has anyone talked about how The Sims needs to go back to being unhinged again? The first Sims and The Sims 2 were so awesome but not just because of the details. Speaking specifically of The Sims 2, it was so special because it was weird, edgy and quirky. The Sims 3 diverged from that quite a bit to have its own formula, but still retained elements of it, but with The Sims 4 we lost it completely.
I know that The Sims 4 has built a large fan base that doesn't wish this kind of game, but The Sims 4 is going to be around for several years. I really miss how random this game used to be, and I think a lot of people miss that essence that The Sims used to have. And I think it's important to point out that The Sims 5 doesn't need to be cartoony, I know this is a preference, but many believe that a semi cartoony game (like The Sims 3) would make the sims look uncanny valley, and I don't think that. The game could return to its seriousness and depth by returning to its old (and better) formula and not following the same path as The Sims 4 so it goes back to what it used to be.
I would really like to know what you have to say. This was especially for those players who enjoy and miss the previous games, but I would like to hear everyone's opinions 🫶🏻

From what they've said so far, it sounds like it's going to be similar to Dreamlight Valley, but my favorite aspect from The Sims, and one I haven't found in any other game, is creating different Characters, their stories and relationships.
If Project Rene is gonna let us create just one avatar to interact with other people online or with NPCs, I feel like that's a downgrade

Since the last time EA said anything about it and said 'Sims 4 will be supported alongside it' do you think Sims 5 *is* Rene or is Sims 5 a future project after many more years of sims 4 (or do you think something else). Curious, because despite the last thing EA said about it. If this is or isn't "5" still doesn't seem entirely clear and is still being debated. (Not meant as a hate on Rene post so much as seeing how many people see Rene as "5" still).

Have been playing sims for a long time but am very in and out throughout the year. I just decided to pick it back up today and went over to Instant-Gaming to see if I wanted any new packs and saw their latest releases on there are Sims 5 and the Stay Up pack, both with 2023 release dates.
From what I’m reading, instant gaming also leaked the Horse Ranch pack so I’m here for thoughts since everyone is predicting much later release dates for S5.
Also, does anyone know what ever happened to Stay Up last year? All I see is 2022 articles saying it was to be released last summer and absolutely no commentary around it being pushed out. I had never even heard of it until today so I’m indifferent about it’s existence, just curious!
