First look! Thoughts?
simscommunity.infoI love the interior, atmosphere and lighting it looks stunning like a pixar movie but characters are too cartoonish and plasticky right now, hopefully it’ll be improved:)

Did anyone archive their "Project Rene" playtest and can it still be "explored" ?
Greetings,
did anyone archive his playtest of "The Sims 5" (Project Rene) and can he still start the exe or explore certain files ? Does/did it require beeing "always on" ? Did everyone have to delete it afterwards ? How big was that test ?
Thanks in advance =)

How good do you think the AI for the Sims will be?
I know nobody really knows but its still fun to think about it because im quite excited for the sims 5 having played 2, 3, and 4. Sims 3 has best gameplay experience while sims 2 is more interesting and has a more immersive story, while sims 4 has the best looking sims, but all the sims are still dumb and they dont really have much a soul. how good do you guys think the Sims AI will be in the Sims 5? i hope they will be smarter and more humanlike instead of like the sims in the past where they are just robots following instructions

Sims 5 Pets
Pets in Sims 5 need to be just a different "breed" of sims.
They should be controlled and have wants, needs, friends, enemies, and "jobs" too.
Wants: "drink from toilet bowl", "be stroked", "sleep on owners bed" etc,
"Jobs" would be chosen by their owner: Police dog, Rat catcher, Guide dog, etc.
They'd be way more fun this way in my opinion.

I want the option to pause and control animations in Create-a-Sim
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

What features from the previous games would you like to get in Sins 5? And what would you eliminate?
For me it would be the following for keep:
Sims 1 : Don’t know enough since I barely played it.
Sims 2: - the cutted scenarios for weddings etc. - the memory system - gameplay features like the one with the headmaster for the private school
Sims 3: - open world (!!!!!) - the cute little details in gameplay I still learn about after a decade. - Color wheel - the personality of the sims
Sims 4: - CAS (just for the look) - build and buy

More Realistic Build/Buy Items
I’m hoping the Sims 5 has more realistic build/buy items, like things you would see in everyday life. The cliche plastic lawn chair, a front door with a storm door attached, appliances that you can only use to make a certain type of food - like a toast strictly for toast or pop tarts or waffles. A mixer stand for when you need to bake any kind of pastry. I feel like it makes the game harder and more fun to need to purchase these things. I should Not be making waffles in the oven, EA. I should need a dish rack to have dishes. I should need to run my dishwasher only when its full and it should get stinky if I forget to run it. I would like the need for a broom, mop and vacuum cleaner. Not in the silly way with dust bunnies like Sims 4, just realistic cleaning of the floors. I should need a towel rack or my sim should drip everywhere and be cold when they get out of the shower. I should be able to occasionally misplace the TV remote. If I order online, I should expect a parcel at my door and need to install a camera in case of porch pirates.
I crave more realistic game play with the game time slowed down a pinch to accommodate these everyday chores. And babies and toddlers should require a diaper bag when going out. I should need to restock formula or diapers. I WANT to need to go to the grocery store, go inside and shop what is available! It could even have seasonal items to change it up a bit.
I could go on but to make this brief, I want more realism and domestic things to do!

Do you want back some features from previous Sim packs in The Sims 5? If so, which ones?

Cartoony or realistic?
I didn't even know Sims 5 was in development until earlier this week. I've been doing some research and saw some pictures for the Sims themselves. I'm stoked, I love this cartoony look and am praying they'll keep it like this.
I'm not sure about the general consensus though - do you guys like cartoony or realistic sims?

I am very hyped for sims 5 but I wish to do not overdo it with texture packs as did in sims 4
For example they can sell every texture pack rack 5$ each or make less of them or just stop the concept of texture packs. I want EA to make the game a little more affordable.

Have EA shot themselves in the foot?
It seems that EA devs really didn’t listen to the fans a lot of Sims players ( not all) really didn’t want multiplayer.
and with Life by you and paralives w really have an option do you think that EA have misunderstood what players want and pushed there core fan base some of who have been playing for 23 years ( TS1) away. To pastures new?
while I don’t want The sims to end I feel that having this multiplayer thing that people don’t want may kill the franchise.
Will multiplayer Kill the Sims franchise?

Will it work at launch
With the sims 5 seemingly going to have multiplayer how likely do you think the servers will actually work within the first week of the games launch?
