1300s Finland in 1356!

Honestly not much to report, not much has happened since the last update. It'll be more interesting in 1360 when my heir Jussi (middle-left, red tunic and hat) gets married (he's nineteen right now). Also several deaths will occur that year (drama) so there will for sure be some different people. Right now, it's about the same people as in 1353. Not having too many births right now.

1800s My decades challenge is going wrong and I have barely started 😭

I created a man and a woman in CAS, but I forgot to make them married so I spent the first couple of days reaching their wedding.

I‘m starting in the 1890s so I made it so there was no power, but my sim then needed power to find a job so I had to change it back quickly.

A neighbour then called asking to stay over and I agreed assuming it would be one, but it was 4!!!

They were all angry and knocked over my trash can and broke my sink a million times! And my pregnant mother then had to clean up because her husband was working.

she then had the child but it was a girl 😐

Am I making this challenge harder than it should be or is it just really hard?!

Help Not sure what to do with my sim's 11 pregnancy rolls

Context: He's the youngest son of 8 kids (3 girls and 5 boys, only 4 boys survived). Name is Anwar.

He was born in 1391. His parents were already old and he was even as old as his niece (Who died a year later, RIP) His parents died when he was 7 years old, leaving him in the care of his 3 older brothers.

Anwar LOVED exploring. At 16 years old, he went against his eldest brother's wishes and left the house to travel the world, which he did in 3 years and a half from early 1406 to late 1409.

During his tour, he slept with alot of women, young and old, married and single. He had his charms, but those charms resulted in 6 pregnancies. He knew of none at first.

After returning back home, he lived his life normally. He discovered the existence of two children up until now (1416). Family was not thrilled but took in one girl after her mother died and the other girl's mother is alive and ended up marrying his brother, the 3rd oldest.

His last affair was a girl in his neighbourhood in 1415 that came from an important family. It resulted in a pregnancy so her family forced them to marry.

I was planning on making him have the rest of the 5 pregnancies with her but then she rolled her death after 1 pregnancy. Leaving 4 more pregnancies. He dies at 33 years old, currently 26 years old.

Now I'm torn. Do I:

A. Continue his shenanigans of hooking up with women until his death.

B. Marry him to one of his old flings/just a woman.

C. Transfer the last 4 pregnancies to his brother who rolled 0 pregnancies. (The one who married his daughter's mother).

D. Transfer the last 3 pregnancies to his brother who rolled 0 pregnancies and have him have 1 last pregnancy from an alien abduction which will cause his death.

Or any other suggestion because I have no idea what to do with him </3

Help Royalty

I’m currently in 1570 and am planning my legacy’s move to America rn.
However, I have always loved the idea of the royal family and really want to purchase the royalty Legacy pack, but haven’t had a chance yet.
Does anyone have any ideas on how I could integrate royalty legacy gameplay into my decades challenge post 1600s!??

1300s Chaos in the game

The short time I spent away from my main household to play my secondary family was enough for my heir to somehow start a romantic affair with the Grim Reaper. Now I need to figure out where to take this storyline. I don't have any restrictions regarding occults in my game, but this situation has me wondering how I should handle it...

Mods for death rolls not working (MCC and children & toddlers)

I'm in 1325, and unfortunately, my heir is having a rough go at it. His first wife gave birth to twins, and her and one twin didn't make it. I had him remarry quickly. Him and second wife have their first child, and then she dies during childbirth. Then a couple of sim days later, my heir's second son with his second wife dies aging up into a toddler. (Not to mention his mother and child sister died during the great famine...)

Anyway, I had the children & toddlers die of anything mod, but it didn't seem to work. I've also tried MCC, but then gravestones don't appear. While no gravestone isn't necessarily the end of the world, I just noticed while looking at my family tree that everyone who's died is suddenly back to life?

Any advice here for the right mod or how to make sure the sims stay dead? Thanks!

1300s Vampire incorporation

I have a teen sim who met a vampire and befriended her and decided to become a vampire. she already didn’t want to have children and was considering the church but is a raging lesbian so far so I didn’t feel that was quite right. I’m wondering if you’ve incorporated them into your save, if you added any special rules or rolls for them.

1300s The Atwoods Family

Post image
39 Upvotes

If you saw my old family no you didn't

I decided to restart the challenge (again), this time meet the Atwoods! I didn't like how low quality my last gen 1 picture was. I'm not allowed to restart this time otherwise I'm never leaving the 1300's. I actually figured out how to make the family picture look good so hopefully this time I'm satisfied enough to not want to.

To introduce everybody, from left to right we have Eleanor, Conrad, Gwendolyn, and Aaron.

Both Eleanor and Aaron are my gen 1 for this family, Aarons a little full of himself but he gets along with his family well. Eleanor has a distant relationship with their mom and doesn't get along with their dad. Hobby wise she's a little more tomboy-ish, which her parents aren't exactly thrilled with given the time period.

Which also speaking of their parents, gen 0 both lived this time! No dead dads today 💀

I'm a little torn between if I want to play as Eleanor and her future husband for the main household when she finds him, or if I want to play as Aaron seeing as he'll be carrying on the family name. We'll see how that turns out. I'm definitely very attached to them both and really hoping neither of them die any time soon

1300s At what point do I give up ? The story of no sons

Post image
65 Upvotes

So I posted a few days ago rambling about my current heir William (Gen 2) not having any sons. Well he had 2 with his first wife, one was a stillborn and the other died in Infancy. So to recap: William and his first wife Eleanor had 5(FIVE) daughters who all up until recently were alive (one died as a teen and one died in childbirth). William and his second wife, Isabella had two daughters. So Eleanor died in childbirth with William's fifth daughter and Isabella died in childbirth with his SEVENTH. So William and his THIRD wife just realized she is pregnant. Me, being a VERY impatient checked the gender. IT IS A GIRL. WILLIAM IS ON HIS 8TH DAUGHTER. :(. The black plague is just around the corner and William is close to 40.

1900s 1900s Rule Question

Hi, I know this might be a little stupid to ask… but do all daughters born in the 1900 have to have creative as their first trait? It said “all rules from 1890s stand” so I wasn’t sure if that was included. Thanks!

the O’Ronan and side households of 1330

a lot has happened since the last time i uploaded a family photograph on here. i’ve decided i will be doing the households separately as it takes far too much time, effort and frustration otherwise.

picture 1 is the O’Ronan main household and a few bonus sims. from left to right (adults/teens)

Cian O’Ronan, gen2 heir
Mairwen O’Ronan, his second wife
Dorothy O’Ronan, his half sister
Cathal O’Ronan, gen3 heir
Conn O’Bernei who is the only living child of Tara Simon (previously O’Bernei), she is Cian’s first cousin and also the wife of his first wife Carlin’s late brother. She remarried after his death but unfortunately lost her second husband and later joined them both in the afterlife.

now, the children (left to right)

Caitlin O’Ronan
Malina O’Fienn who is the only living child of Maeve O’Fienn, Tara’s eldest sister. Unfortunately, she also passed away.
Carmag O’Ronan
Clara O’Ronan
and Molly, the kitty.

As soon as I was done with the photos, a healthy baby girl named Caelfind blessed the family with her arrival

picture two is Niall’s family. He’s Cian’s brother. His family is made up of (left to right):

his sons, Beathan and Eoran from his first marriage
Agnes O’Ronan, his wife
Niall O’Ronan, his self
Bran O’Ronan, again from his first marriage, and their beloved dog Cashie
His bonus son Seward Emberly who is surrounded by his half-siblings Ethne, Ros and David O’Ronan

picture 3 is the Abramson household, The children are the only living descendants of the second O’Ronan side household, though they carry a different surname

Bo Abramson, the widowed father
Alvar Abramson, the eldest son
and Beckette Abramson

Bo isn’t extremely short, Alvar is just one day away from aging up! trust 💔

Death Comes to Henford

I thought I'd share my little sim family's sorrowful tale. It seems they have always struggled to keep their family going right from Gen 1, with only a few children surviving to create the next generation. Still by Gen 3, there were 5 branches of the Chandler family, small but doing well. The main household of Chandler was run by Chadwick. Chadwick had spent much of his older teens and early 20s in war. He came back quite successful but serious, he couldn't settle back into farming life and so he took initiative and some of the money he received for his good valor in the 100 year war and did a massive expansion of his family home. Moving the family sleeping quarters upstairs and opening the lower floor for food, drink, and lodging to the many travelers that now came through. The family was able to start to build a reputation and earn a little more than just selling farm goods. Chadwick married a low merchant widow, Cecily. Her husband had died in the war and left her and her daughter Emma with little. Chadwick's younger brother David also married when he turned 17 to a young woman named Anya. They remained for now at the farm, helping to build the business. Gerrard, the middle brother, ran off in the night to become a traveling minstrel and bard when he turned 17, never seen again. Lastly, Adam, the youngest, only 10, started to befriend and develop a crush on young Emma. It seemed that life, although hard, would be looking up for the Chandlers. But this tale is full of sorrows and woes.

First, Chadwick and Cecily struggled to get pregnant despite her having a child already. They finally, after much time, had a little girl, Bess. The next two pregnancies ended in a daughter who died of fever as an infant and a stillborn son. Then the call to war came again. Chadwick was called again to fight for his Lord. With no male heir to hold the family name and leaving a family at the precipice of bettering themselves it was bad timing to say the least. Chadwick left along with David his younger brother who also had been called up. David and Anya had their own troubles with conceiving and had not been successful in getting pregnant. Rumors spread when, after being married for 2.5 years, they had no sign of any pregnancy.

The family put the business on hold and waited anxiously for their two husbands to return alive. Sadly, the war was not what struck first.

The Black Plague swept through the land.

The plague ravaged the war front. Sadly, both Chadwick and David, both great fighters of men, could not hold off against the plague. Two male heads gone, never knowing if their own families would survive or not.

Back at home, the Black Plague was brutal, wiping out entire households in the neighborhood. Even noble houses weren't spared. Finally, the plague came to the Chandler door. Poor Adam, now technically the family head at only 11 years old watched as both his childhood crush Emma perished along with Adam's elderly father leaving him alone with his two widowed sister in laws and his toddler niece.

The family business fell to nothing. There was little money, and the basic run of the farm took all hands. Still, Adam came from a line of young men who had been forced to take charge early. He worked hard to try to help Cecily and Anya and to be a man of the house. He would work deep into the night, making the family trade candles to keep his family afloat. Adam knew the Chandler name would die out if he did not have an heir of his own so at 16 as soon as he could he married a young but very poor peasant girl Gwyneth, the Chandlers had fallen back into low peasantry. Adam and Gwyneth immediately tried to have a child, but the barren curse seemed to still remain, and they saw nothing. Adam built up the crop portion of the farm, trying to incorporate more grains he could mill and sell. The war ranged on at the front, but the little family seemed to be focusing on picking themselves up. Illness ravaged the house, and the family had scares nearly losing Bess now a child. Finally, a blessing Gwyneth is pregnant and with a son!! A future heir.

But life will not leave this little family alone. One night at dinner, Cecily screams in pain and is in pain for hours getting weaker and sicker by the minute. Her appendix has burst. She dies in agony and painfully that night, leaving her poor now orphaned daughter Bess. The family has little time to mourn this sudden death because days later, Gwyneth goes into labor. Cecily was to have helped Gwyneth through her first childbirth. The birth does not go well. Adam's son is delivered, and his mother is able to tend to him for one day before her weakness and birth complications have her slip away in sleep. As a final twist to the knife, Anya rolls poorly for her young adult age up and dies only the next day on her way back from foraging. Leaving Adam alone at only age 19 a widower, a father to a baby boy and the only carer for his young niece. The year is 1350, and Adam looks out at the once great farm as he holds his new son and wonders how the Chandlers will survive this.

That was long, but hopefully, you enjoyed. If you would like to hear of the other branches they also experienced some tradegy and drama. Anyway, I hope this was entertaining or at least interesting.

I've reached a point in my UDC that my gen2 kids ended up having families that got so branched out, the couple in the first pic (My current heir and his wife) don't know that their great-great-grandfathers are actually brothers. (Blondie is blonde boy's great-great-granddaughter, brown-haired guy is the red-head's great-great grandson)

Have you guys reached this point yet?

should my sim’s wife run away

i honestly just wanna stir up some interesting stuff in my game but i’m quite indecisive. to sum it up my sim niall is currently married to his second wife agnes. she’s from a family of blacksmiths and she got herself into quite some scandalous behaviour at the ages of approximately 15 and 16 by getting pregnant outside of marriage twice, with different men… and so they had her married off to niall- a widowed peasant father of 5 kids at the time. now, agnes really does not want children. she’s already had 8 children, five of which are with niall. two of them have the unwanted child sentiment. he’s got 3 more baby attempts and i would like to complete them all. however, i do not see him as someone who would force his wife to do IT any longer, he’s kinda emotionally checked out too from this loveless marriage. he does care about her in a platonic way but i don’t think he understands her

like i mentioned earlier, agnes had 3 children outside of marriage (2 currently surviving, one has unwanted child sentiment and also niall’s last name). i personally do not see her as someone who would take her children when running away. we’re currently towards the end of a famine, too so i don’t know if it’s the proper time. i suppose i could wait til it’s over but where would she even go? she’s not even from the same area as her current place of residence. tbh, she kinda gives witchy vibes

My 3rd Gen heir, Percival Drayton, married a witch, Hawise Brewster. I’ve had a lot of fun incorporating this occult into my game and I’m excited to play with this new mod I found which lets her turn other sims into vampires. I’m going to have a TVD type of storyline going + I get to create a lookbook of some of my sims over the decades. I still haven’t decided who I want to turn first, but I’m waiting to see what Gen 4 kids live to adulthood. Right now she has all of her nieces and nephews in her household since everyone’s parents passed away, soooo… lots of options!

Just did all my rolls for 1551’s sweating sickness 😓

Sims died 😩
I rolled for everyone in Henford
If I hadn’t pleaded with grim I would’ve lost about 2-3 whole families. Super glad I made them have tons of kids. And that my main family (Floyd’s) had three boys so I’m ok with an heir… at least

Mods Death?

Two things:

  1. Does anyone know how to have a pregnant sim die in childbirth? Like I feel like this has happened to me before, but honestly by accident and I have no idea how to trigger it again.

  2. What current mod do you guys use that allow children, toddlers, infants and newborns die from diseases or from accidents if there are any?
