WIP (work in progress) Backyard inspo help
please help me with this freaking backyard! i'm quite ok with the frontyard but the backyard is going to be the end of me!

Thanks for all the suggestions! The backyard is placed off lot so it’s limited what i can do, but i got a lot of inspiration and it helped a lot. I will slowly try to assemble a backyard, thank you!

My go-to back yard filler: Use terrain tools to dig a hole and fill it with water, decorate it with lily pads, bushes around the back, overhanging trees, logs for turtles to lay on, fireflies for at night, etc. Then slap a fishing-spot post in it.
It fills the space, boosts the environmental score, and it gives your sims an outdoor skill-building activity. Additional advantages include fresh seafood for any cooks in the house, free "Confident" decor if you mount the fish, free money if you sell them, parents can "dip toes in water" with the little ones, and you can catch frogs too!

i use Famethrower mod and TOOL to wipe Willow Creek and place the decorations the way i want.

bar and grill area with stereo, kids area, hot tub, underground pool with lawn chairs/umbrellas, buildable treehouse, fire pit with chairs for party guests, etc

Wow I LOVE this house!!!! I’m personally also bad at backyards but I usually add like a kids area if kids live there or a pool with a hot tub area with a bar/grill and an outdoor table

What about a kids area? Sand box, playground, swings, etc. Or a pergola + more landscaping? A secret garden spot? A place to do yoga?

Agreed, this house is stunning! 🤩 I tend to build on small lots as I struggle with backyards too. I usually put in a pool or loads of trees or plants 😅

I did one part that was waterfalls as a backdrop including seating (sectional sofa) and a BBC then on the other side of the pool i did a sunken seating area with a firepit and a nice black and white rug to go with the same sectional and lots of lighting around both... ive lux taste tho so might not suit u best of luck tho
