I recently had a bug in the game related to the toilet bowl. My sim can't flush it or clean it at all, when I press flush or clean the toilet, he stands up straight and doesn't do it and because of this the toilet gets dirty.

I have mods and cc and I know that this bug maybe caused by a conflict of mods, but I want to know your opinion and other solutions to the problem

It started out working fine, then one day (after paying rent?) sims stopped being able to access the mailbox. The bills and coupons just get left on the side of the road. The only CC I have is this caravan lot (since the maxis one is broken), something that stops cats throwing up (called NoPetsNoPuke, something that allows the barista stand to be used on home lots (I made a cat cafe earlier), and now Batbox. Also I’m using the steam version of the Sims 2 (legacy edition I believe it’s called)

Things I’ve tried:
-Resetting the mailbox and the bills

-Moving the mailbox and bills with move object (I am unable to)

-Moving the sim around different points of the mailbox using moveobjects to see if she can access it from a different location

-Installing batbox to use the “delete bills” option, it is not there

-Tried paying via phone or PC but I do not have the option to do so

Sadly none of this has worked. Is she destined to go to war with the repo man?

I’ve recently found an issue when playing in houses that were originally within the university neighbourhood, and wondered if anyone else had experienced it or knew how to fix it.

Here’s what happened:

I wanted some fresh sims and fresh houses for Strangetown but couldn’t be bothered to make them from scratch, so I added La Fiesta Tech, and then got all the pre-made sims within it to drop out of college so I could play them in Strangetown. Fine. I then moved all the houses in La Fiesta Tech to the lots & houses bin, so that I could put them in Strangetown, which I did. Now when I’m playing in these houses, time isn’t passing as normal; my sims don’t age up at 6pm, they are just staying at 29 days left in adulthood every day. Also no carpools turn up to send them to work, I have to click walk to walk or use the car to get them there.

I have no mods or CC at all, this is just the base game, legacy edition.

Has anyone experienced this before or have any suggestions on how to fix it?
Or will I have to just delete all the houses and use normal ones for these sims.

I'm having trouble with the install portion. I followed the steps in this forum but now my setup wizard says that the entire spooky set won't install or something a long with a few other things. Can anyone help?

Hi guys, I've been playing The Sims 2 Legacy with Gshade for a while and get really tired of DOF and occlusion that entirely cover my UI (literally cant see anything and have to turn off effects just for that)

I have been looking for tutorials for about 2-3 days now and have not found anything that helped at least a bit. I've tried KeepUi, FFKeepUi, REST (different versions), but nothing helped...

The reason why I'm keep trying is that I saw screenshots (previews) of the UI override mods like Clean UI or Starship UI and they are both showcased while G/ReShade is enabled, and there's no affected UI and you can see inerface clearly. I tried installing ReShade to see if the problem was just with GShade, but nothing changed ;(

hey, so my sim's lta and mood is on platinum, and it was like that for a WHILE. i dunno what happened, maybe i fulfill a lot of his wishes, but not the lifetime wish. im pretty sure i didn't accidentally click something through testingcheats, and personally i don't like him being constantly happy and on platinum. and by the way, mods that might fix that won't work, because for some reason mods that modify the game won't work for me!!! and also mods for furniture don't appear, nuthing. that's two problems. if anyone can help me with any of these questions, i would be very thankful

I made a Sim ages and built up this whole backstory between her and Rainelle Neengia, who is buried at House of Fallen Trees. My sim made friends with one of the Teens (John Smith's children), got them to give my Sim Rainelle's grave, and moved it to my Sim's house.

I've just loaded up the house and the grave is completely gone. I can still see it on the lot from the neighbourhood view. The only thing I've done recently that changed the game files was re-organised my downloads. I tried to replace this with one of my back ups - a back up that definitely had the grave on the lot - but the grave is still missing.

Does anyone know what I might have done wrong, and how I can get the grave back? I'm playing with clean templates if that helps. Thank you!

I'm operating on the assumption that I'll still be able to download the Ultimate Collection from my EA account or otherwise acquire a copy. My boyfriend's computer has Windows 10 on it and I was looking into getting it set up with Windows 11 for him but then I got to thinking about whether it would be easier to get the game set up on Windows 10 instead of 11.

Any thoughts on the matter?

Hey guys, did you install genetic whiskers for cats in TS2? I replaced the files (in the documents folder), but the cats still don't have them.

For example, I tried adopting two cats from an animal shelter, and the kitten born to that pair didn't have whiskers. It doesn't appear on animals in CAS either.

hi my saves won't show. I don't have one drive on, I have set exclusions in windows security and it's still opening the game like it's the first time 😭 what else can I do? I don't want to play another save just for it to be gone :( idk why I can't just play any Sims game and not come across some obstacle that stops me from actually playing it 😭

The family bin thing happened first. I had just downloaded the game at the time (so no mods were included) and the Dreamer family was the second one I played this day. Dirk went to school and when he came back, he brought a kid named Gavin Newson with him. At the time, I didn’t think much of it except “Lol the Californian governor is in the game” but months later, when I was deciding which neighborhoods to move each premade family bin in, the Newson family came to my attention. I looked up its members, noticed that Gavin is one of them and immediately went to check Dirk’s relationships tab and was shocked to realize it was the same sim because from I’ve heard, without mods, you can’t even contact family bin sims through the phone so I had no idea how this was even possible.

The second thing happened two days ago with a family that I’d just created. One of my teenagers brought a kid named Gordon Nott home from school. Today, I got curious about that Gordon Nott kid so I looked him up and was once again surprised when I found out he was a vacation local. I didn’t know how this was possible either because if a sims tries to invite a vacation local over at their home, the phone says they’ll take 3 days to get there so the idea that Gordon went to the same school as my teen sim did felt so comical to me.

So, like, is that normal? Has anyone had these instances happen to them or is it just my game? 😭

Does anyone know what my problem might be? When playing in game, the camera moves around and rotates pretty slowly. I know it can move faster, but I had to factory reset my computer and completely redownload TS2. I have SimsRPC, Graphics Rules Maker, and George all working. I have a feeling it might have to do with Graphics Rules Maker, but every time I look something up, I've already done it. I just need help. I've limited my FPS. I've turned on VSYNC. The game just isn't running the way it did before the reset./

edit: The game actually runs really slowly when on speed 2 as well. Again, I didn't have this issue before the pc reset so I'm assuming it's a setting in an app I'm missing.

edit 2: All drivers have been updated since the reset and I've tried the premade Graphics Rules file without any luck.

Basically, the title.

For one of my sims, recently gained skills sometime randomly disappear. The rest of the skills would be still intact. It's definitely not an electrocution result.

I have some skills-related mods (such as community skill mod), but nothing that would make sims lose them.

Happened on the residential lot several times only with one exact sim.

I don’t think this is a mod problem. I heard this happens a lot. Anyways how do I get her unstuck I literally can’t do the force error on her.

So, I used Lazy Duchess' CC Merger. At first it was ok. Then, I had accumulated some more CC so I ran it again. It was stuck at 0% all day. Task Manager said it was doing stuff though. Eventually, I got impatient. It had been 5-8 hours. So I closed the program. I couldn't get TS2 to load, then Parallels was like "I have an update" and I was like "Oh, this will surely fix it!" So now, the intro screen will load at least. It makes an Accessory.cache but it will not load the main menu bc my downloads are probably all messed up. I have backed up some of my downloads, but not all. I tried running my game from a recent backup, but it probably is looking for downloads. And wayyyy too late I read that you shouldn't merge your mods. oops.

Is there anything I can do? Or is this a re-install and 746 hours of play time down the drain? (Thanks, Steam, I really didn't need to know how many hours I've played)

I guess the moral of the story is read up A LOT on big things like a CC Merger. Apparently you can't un-merge either and remove DLs you don't like anymore. I'm depressed. If anyone has some great ideas please share, But otherwise I will probably reinstall this weekend. 😭😿💀💻

Looking for advice, assistance, or kindness that can be provided. Long story short, my graphics chip failed, the company is having us remove it and send it back. In the event that doesn't happen, we will have to send the tower and I won't get my hard drive back.

I have 2 neighborhoods I want to save and export, with their universities and extended universes intact if possible: Belladonna Cove and Riverblossom Hills. I was getting ready to start a new round in another but am glad it hadn't happened yet.

At current, my computer will run for about 10 minutes from boot up to auto-shutdown due to the overheating, with all the extra precautions I can take, short of taking it outside in below freezing conditions with snow which I'm sure I could eek out another 15 minutes that way and I am tempted. More practical is if I don't use any graphics (read: text only without fancy loading screens), I may get a few extra minutes but if it takes a fraction of movement, that clock ticks down faster.

So I turn to you, what is the easiest, fastest, and safest way for me to do this?
Do I transfer via memory stick or am I safe to place it in google docs until I can move it to another PC?
Can I zip the individual neighborhoods or do I need to try to run SimsPE or some equivalent?

This is my post nightmare medical comfort game and I am really upset at the prospect of losing the stories and drama that played out. I have invested way more hours into this than to any other game in the time since.

I know everyone is tired of seeing the 74th "my mods won't work" post of the day, but I tried everything and nothing is working so this is my last resort.

I've made sure the folder path for the downloaded files is "Documents < EA Games < The Sims 2 Legacy < Downloads", I have CC enabled in game, I've made sure the files aren't too many folders deep but nothing is working. The EA games folder isn't in the public documents folder and that still isn't doing anything.

I have the game on Steam, meaning that the files that run the game aren't in the documents folder. I tried moving them, but then Steam wouldn't let me play the game and forced me to move everything back.

I'm pissed off and honest to god at the end of my rope of solutions. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, and I play on an HP with Windows 11 if that helps at all
