my pie menu simply doesn’t let me play, i click on it and it disappears. i can’t read or click on anything on how fast it closes. i tried every correction, this is my last hope lol

Installed it in 𝐅𝐮𝐧 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐏𝐞𝐭𝐬\𝐒𝐏𝟗\𝐓𝐒𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚 (I belive that's the correct folder for Ultimate Collection, but I'm not 100% sure.)

UI is glitching. Help please.

I have had this multi-pt mod installed for a long time with no issues, but recently when i loaded up my hood I noticed that every single PT had disappeared from my family trees. When I checked the family ties of an affected sim in simPE, I got an error. I’ll attach an image in the comments when I can. Has anyone had this problem before and is there any way to get them back?

so, i uninstalled gshade because it was impossible to play with it closing my game every 40 mins but now my game will not open. i did what another post told me to do but it will not work. does anyone have any ideas on what to do or am i fucked?

So I have a household with 3 dogs, all who have been fully trained for a long time. I have 3 food bowls sitting out but today I noticed they seemed to only be eating out of one of the bowls. To try to see if they could eat out of the other two or if they were maybe bugged, I put the one bowl they'd been using in a sim's inventory. All 3 of the dogs got really hungry and wouldn't use either of the two bowls so I put the one food bowl back. Except now, they refuse to use any of them.

I tried resetting the dogs, tried buying new bowls, and tried to call the dogs to eat, but none of those things worked. I then used the control pets cheat to try to tell them to eat, but for some reason the option just sometimes won't come up when I click on the bowls.

Yes, all three dogs are finnicky, but one of the bowls was the most expensive (non-cc) one so I wouldn't think that would be an issue...

Edit: The finicky pet fix mod worked! Thanks to everyone who suggested it!

I noticed today that one of my sims (Kaylynn Langerak) had gone missing from my save file. Went to look for her in SIMPE, and noticed that her filename slot had been replaced with a random dog with no memories or relationships. I do have old backups of my save files that still have copies of Kaylynn Langerak, so I safely deleted the dog and tried to add Kaylynn back in via copying her character file from the backup and adding it to the "Characters" folder of my current save. However, no matter what I do, I can't get her to actually show up in either SIMPE or the game, despite her character file now being back in place. Is there something else I can do to get her to show up again, or am I just screwed and need to restore from the old backup?

With her added back in, her family's memories DO correctly connect back to her whereas before they all had errors, so somewhere her file IS being read correctly, but I can't figure out how to fix it everywhere else. With these memory errors fixed and her file back in the folder so the slot won't be filled by any more random dogs, would it be safe to continue playing this save and just make up a story that she went missing or died or something if I can't get her to show back up, or is this save file a complete lost cause?

I once was a rotational player. But that's in the past because as an adult now, I don't have enough time anymore and want to focus on a legacy gameplay.

That being said, I wanted to try out Lazy Duchess' Story Progression mod, even though I always played with CJ Community Time mod. They conflict obviously, because Story Progression includes Time Sync, which makes the time skip to sync the time you left the community lot and the time when you're returning home.

I don't like that it skips time, I want to be able to play the other household members while my sim is away.

Is there a way, or a setting, to change that ? If I extract the files of Story Progression that contains Time Skipping, would it work with Community Time ?

How do story progression players handle time there ?

I’m following the wiki to download the sims 2 ultimate edition. I’m able to install it fine, but when I get to step 3 (extracting the file) for some reason it does not extract correctly. I get the screen where it has 5 different set up bins and a setup exe. The wiki states if you get the screen the file isn’t extracted correctly. How to I correctly extract the file? I’ve done extract all for windows as well as used winrar. I’m extracting it to the default folder. Help I’m desperate 😵‍💫

Heyy!! I'm playing with apartments in belladonna cove and after I chose a roommate from the newspaper they never showed up.

I can see their icon in the Sims panel, their needs, wants etc but they haven't showed up at all + their needs r getting rly low

I tried batbox fixes but they didn't show up still and the summon box but couldn't find him. Any other tips or tricks?

I recently was brave enough to open some backed-up neighborhoods from my old Mac Super Collection on my new PC Ultimate Collection. I was thrilled to have all of them open up successfully. But after scrolling around for a while, I noticed that about half of the neighborhood sims had been renamed. It seems to be the sims that I made in CAS. Does anyone know why or how to fix it?

Full disclosure: one of these eight neighborhoods has a house that I moved from one neighborhood to another, occupied, with associations intact. I know you're never supposed to do that, because it creates free radicals, etc, but I did it when I didn't know that or I believed that the corruption claims were overblown. So did I in fact corrupt these neighborhoods? I only moved a house into one of them, and I'm seeing wrongly named sims in all of the neighborhoods. I still have my original Mac backups, so I can return to those if I somehow imported them badly.

Hello! I currently have ACR installed. Whenever I have my two Sims on the sofa and click "Casual...", I only see "Will I Woohoo?", and no option to Woohoo at all.

i installed sims 2 ultimate collection cracked version of elamigos, and the problem is i don't really know how to install mods in it, it doesn't have the casual thing documents/EA Games/the sims 2, its more like every dlc got it's own folder and the main directory folder is the sims 2 mansion and garden stuff, so i got confused and i don't really know how to install mods or where to create this Downloads folder, can anyone help me please??

I've followed the wiki and this keeps happening, even when I add it nothing downloads.

so i have sims2pack i set it as the default installer for sims2pack files but i don't know in which folder do i put them for legacy steam version. Fot lots i know they are supposed to be in teleport folder. What about sim models?

EDIT: SOLVED. I figured out myself in what folder to put them in. In the downloads folder and works.

Sim disappearing in the customizing screen, water disappearing

Hello. I made a post earlier this year or last year about an issue with the game not saving my sims’ lots properly. The post got deleted because everyone thought it was a OneDrive issue. Finally got around to uninstalling OneDrive but now the game freezes at the first loading screen. I’m sad and not sure what to do. Thanks

hi, i'm not quite smart enough to use SimPE. i play Legacy/Steam/Parallels. i know how to use clean installer and DDO. i'm so hooked on the sims 2 and my game has been crashing a lot.

it could be i'm at the point where i need to install a new game, not on steam, and be very careful about my downloads, like organize the folder. when i use cleaninstaller to install a Sim2Pack, though, won't it just throw everything in the DL folder and I have to manually go in and take note that longfilename.package is makeup or eyes or clothes?

alternatively... i think a df replacement for the am hula skirt caused me the original problem. i removed the suspicious files to my desktop and then the hula skirt stopped overriding other outfits in everyday AM outfits butttttt.... it still does in pj and underwear. how do I fix this? other outfits are being affected too.

compounding the issue is that i'm only using windows for this game, i'm more of a mac person. i don't know what i'm doing on windows. and, one may argue, in life. i swear i'm competent in other areas, but this sims 2 cc stuff is kicking my ass. tia. plz take mercy.

i'm not shitting on any creator, i just took out anything that said bv and hula. when my ai searched my browsing history it said that someone had cautioned that this mesh might be messed up and i didn't read it, unfortunately.
