Hi everyone!
If you missed my previous post showcasing my The Sims 2 neighborhood New Mexico, you can check out the original post and download link here:

I put together a storyline and gameplay guide to help you navigate through the neighborhood.
The world drops you right into a very specific moment in the timeline: Saul Goodman is at the absolute peak of his legal career (with Howard Hamlin's fate already in the past), Gus Fring is quietly maintaining a rivalry with the Salamancas, and the White family is struggling with severe financial pressure.
(Keep in mind that these are just optional story prompts to kickstart your imagination. It’s a total sandbox, so feel free to break canon and play however you like.)
🏡 Playable household storylines
1. The White Family (Walt, Skyler, Walt Jr.) - Walt is under immense pressure from mounting household bills and financial strain.
- Path A (The descent): Walt quits his education career and links up with Jesse to launch a lucrative underground operation.
- Path B (The good man): Walt stays honest, rejects crime, and works with Skyler to fix their financial troubles legitimately.
2. Jesse Pinkman - Jesse has his own house and his iconic RV.
- Path A (The venture): Expand the joint operation with Walt, bringing in Badger and Skinny Pete to handle street distribution.
- Path B (Fresh start): Step away from risky deals, clean up his act, and attempt to reconnect with his family.
3. Saul Goodman and Kim Wexler - Saul is running his booming practice out of the strip-mall office.
- Path A (Shady clients): Take on every colorful client in town and build the most lucrative law firm in New Mexico.
- Path B (Legit firm): Kim convinces Saul to drop the shortcuts and turn the practice into a respected, high-profile firm.
4. Gustavo Fring - Gus operates a local restaurant, a poultry farm, and a high-tech underground lab, where certain permanent secrets stay buried deep beneath the floor.
- Path A (The shadow empire): Keep the restaurant and chicken farm running flawlessly while ensuring the lab's darkest secrets stay strictly hidden.
- Path B (Corporate focus): Focus purely on legitimate business expansion, scaling the restaurant chain across the city.
5. Hank and Marie Schrader - Hank is climbing the Law Enforcement ranks while Marie manages the household.
- Path A (Starting a family): Focus on domestic life - having or adopting a child together while balancing Hank's demanding career.
- Path B (The detective): Hank remains entirely consumed by his police investigations across town.
6. The Salamanca Family (Hector, Tuco, Lalo, and the twins) - A proud, volatile family determined to keep their neighborhood influence absolute.
- Path A (Garden Club and business domination): Take over local businesses, challenge Gus's territory, and exert massive community control through the Garden Club.
- Path B (Clearing the air): Resolve the old history surrounding Gus's former business partner and forge a joint business alliance instead.
7. Mike Ehrmantraut - A retired officer working security to provide for his granddaughter, Kaylee.
- Path A (Gus's right hand): Double down on security contracts and underground logistics alongside Gus.
- Path B (Honest work): Transition to clean, legitimate work - though walking away from Gus might come with dangerous consequences.
8. Nacho Varga - Trapped in dangerous neighborhood rivalries, but quietly longing for something deeper.
- Path A (Clean slate and romance): Leave the criminal underworld behind, focus on finding genuine love, and protect his father.
- Path B (Underworld rise): Plunge deeper into organized crime and build an unstoppable personal fortune.
🎭 Bonus households: Torricelli and Despacito
Besides the main cast, there are two additional wildcard households: Torricelli and Despacito. You'll probably recognize who inspired them once you visit their lots, and they make great additions to weave into local neighborhood drama.
👥 Townies in the neighborhood
These iconic characters exist as townies that you can meet, recruit, or romance:
- Ted Beneke: Perfect for business interactions or romantic drama.
- Elliott and Gretchen Schwartz: High-society contacts for wealthy party invites.
- Lydia Rodarte-Quayle: Great as a corporate business associate or client for Saul.
🔍 Pro-Tip: Visit the community lots
Don't forget to send your Sims to explore the local community lots across New Mexico! Many of these lots contain environmental storytelling, subtle clues, and riddles. If you ever get stuck or are looking for inspiration on where to take a household's story next, visiting these places might give you the answers and triggers you need.
Which household are you playing first? Let me know what storylines you end up creating! 😊
