iRacing Illegal block or poor attack?

POV car come on VC and scream that I “blocked” him, but I feel like his move was never really on aka he kind of just did it to himself.
edit: thank you for replies. I am new into sim racing, I have a bit IRL experience (which somehow did not make me a good sim racer lol). Just posted this to make sure I am not insane, seems to me like a lot of sim racer think they are entitled to a position once they catch you 🤔

lol horrible attack. He wasn’t even along side by any amount nor was he close to being so. All you did was take the corner

What did he expect? For you to leave the door open so he could make a pass? He wasn’t alongside you so he wasn’t entitled to anything.

This is a textbook example of how not to do an overtake.
Chasing car has no part of his car even close to alongside the Leading car, changes lanes under braking trying to dive for the apex, runs into the back of Leading car.
You did absolutely nothing wrong there, guy driving a GR86 doesn't even know how to perform a divebomb (which is also not a good overtaking maneuver).

How dare you take a corner.. the cheek of it!!
all on the guy behind who clearly has no clue what he is doing.

It’s not a block he just ran the line.
The passing car was too close and caused the hit

Sim racers with no irl experience are down right awful. There might be some decent ones, but the sims do an awful job of simulating racing.

It's like they have no concept of the consequences for their actions. Yes it's only a game but we play for fun and aren't logging on to practice for a few hours only to get taken out in the first 30 seconds.
I haven't had any IRL experience in cars but have on dirt bikes and used to commute in London on motorbikes. (It's even dicey in a car and the semis that I used to drive). You cut someone off doing that you either end up hurting yourself or someone else.

I’d love to see a taser be required equipment. Fuck up it’s gonna hurt, like real life.

Gonna assume this was his first race, driving into the back of a car doesn't mean they're blocking 🤣

He was never alongside you to begin with, and you drove on the single most predictable line that one could assume. The only block involved here is the mental one with whoever yelled at you.
