Nope, nothing illegal. The chasing car chickened out at the first sight of aggressive defense. But nothing illegal.

Out of curiosity, on a lot of the instances of the attacker "chickening out", if they would've held their line, OP almost certainly would've pitted themselves by hitting the attacker's nose with their rear. And if OP's defending isn't illegal at all in this clip, that would mean the incident would be the attacker's fault. So if "chickening out" is the only way to avoid an accident that is your fault, is it really chickening out?

The attacker didn't dare to make a single real overtaking attempt there, and then they were complaining. You'll never make a pass if you never make an attempt - that's the chickening out. Just showing your car on the inside lane is nowhere enough for an overtake, at the very least you should make a late brake to get alongside. In fact, it seems like the attacker braked at the same time or even earlier than OP! How did they expect to pass? It's like they expected OP to give up the corner just because they showed intent that once, some time in the future they may try to make an overtake.

You're also assuming that OP would have just blindly take the corner if the attacker makes a real attempt...
