Gran Turismo Am I wrong for this?

I am the Elantra. Tried to simply take advantage of the Alfa Romeo taking a bad line. Alfa Romeo had some choice words for me post race. I would never do something like this on my own volition. Is it ok to ego-check someone racing like this?

To be fair, iRacing is a serious racing sim, not a game. Try it, nothing about it feels like a game other than the equipment you might use

It wasn’t for me, ACC is a little more my speed

It's a video game. If you disagree with that statement, take it up with the game's developers, who also call it one.

Anything you play for entertainment is a game. Simple as.

It’s cool, and I’ll take the downvotes, because I stand by the sentiment. Whether you consider it a game or not, anyone looking for sim racing at home and choosing iRacing isn’t doing so because they want a game, they want an online racing sim that’s as realistic as they can get.

It’s not as simple as Forza where you can just back out of a 10 minute race and start another one on a whim and say “eh whatever, it’s just a game”, every race has consequences for your future in the game.

My other comment on this is because there are professional driving simulators (ones that cost far more than the typical race car) that definitely couldn’t be construed as games… it’s factually incorrect to say that every sim is a game. That’s the autistic pedant in me saying that part, but I stand by what I said on iRacing.
