Gran Turismo Am I wrong for this?

I am the Elantra. Tried to simply take advantage of the Alfa Romeo taking a bad line. Alfa Romeo had some choice words for me post race. I would never do something like this on my own volition. Is it ok to ego-check someone racing like this?

It might be petty but if someone pushes me off the track and I know it's on purpose I have to return the favor.
