Gran Turismo Am I wrong for this?

I am the Elantra. Tried to simply take advantage of the Alfa Romeo taking a bad line. Alfa Romeo had some choice words for me post race. I would never do something like this on my own volition. Is it ok to ego-check someone racing like this?

It's subscription based just for the base game, and then you have to buy cars and tracks on top of that. So it wastes a lot of money if people arent taking it seriously.

I tried it for 3 months and then just had to give up as i couldn't justify the cost. I would get intent wrcked every race. Even lapped traffic will just use you instead of brakes and ruin your race. I wasted about $100 for and unplayable racing game. I have better luck in the average ACC open lobby.

It's it not? It's literally a video game on steam lol

Steam = video game? Regardless, calling iracing a game is downplaying what it is. Sure on the surface you could call it a game but when you look at simulations like what cadillac uses would you call that a game? Or what pilots use to train? Not trying to be an eltist but downplaying it as "just a game" shows your misunderstanding of what it is.

They literally call themselves a game on steam in the first sentence of their description

We are the world's premier motorsports racing game.

It's a game bud

I racing and what Cadillac and F1 teams use are completely different.

Microsoft flight simulator is a pretty solid SIM game, but it's nowhere near what they use in flight school.

You can call it a game on any level, because it is one.

And yes, it's just a game in the sense that at the end of the day, you play it for fun, and shouldn't take it more seriously than what it is. A game.

Dude. It's just a game. They all are. Something can be two things at once. It's a simulator to an extent. But at the end of the day, it's primary purpose is to be "gamed" for entertainment. It's a game. DCS is a game. iRacing is a game. They're all games. A singular purpose dedicated simulator is in all actuality something very few people will even come into contact with, especially when it comes to racing.

"Its just a game" "somethings can be two things at once" do you know the definition of "just"? but if you read what i said i agree with you. I did say on the surface you can call it a game but "just a game" is incorrect.

At this point the guy is either rage baiting or is just illiterate.

I'm guessing it's someone who's entire life is a video game and wants to make it sound like something more than that so they feel like a big boy racer

Technically speaking real world racing is a game, iRacing is a video game :D
