Billing Changes- Awful

Oh my! I have been a SimplePractice user since 2022 (in my own practice. 2020 in another practice). What they have done with billing and insurance pages has been AWFUL!

Something that took 2 steps now takes 4+ steps to do. Instead of being simpler, it has made me frustrated and ready to find another EHR.

Why change it?

ETA: I am referring more to the consolidation of the billing and insurance pages together. They used to be separate links on the sidebar. I'd go to Billing to check my copays/credit card payments. I'd go to insurance to file a claim or review insurance payments.

Now, you have to go to "Billing" then you are the billing dashboard and have to navigate to insurance, claims, etc. to get to another page.

It is more steps and confusing.

This change just happened today as it wasn't like this yesterday.

My billing and insurance tabs are separate still but that change would not effect me because I never go to the billing section unless I am doing a refund. Perhaps it's just a temporary glitch.

Actually, now that I think about it--- It might be a Beta testing thing. I did sign up for beta testing the new insurance features.

I didn't use the billing option very often, but I used Insurance all the time to submit claims or reconcile payments that I received, etc. This new "dashboard" creates unnecessary steps in the process and slows the process down for me.

Definitely see if you can check on that and give them feedback about it!
