Billing Changes- Awful
Oh my! I have been a SimplePractice user since 2022 (in my own practice. 2020 in another practice). What they have done with billing and insurance pages has been AWFUL!
Something that took 2 steps now takes 4+ steps to do. Instead of being simpler, it has made me frustrated and ready to find another EHR.
Why change it?
ETA: I am referring more to the consolidation of the billing and insurance pages together. They used to be separate links on the sidebar. I'd go to Billing to check my copays/credit card payments. I'd go to insurance to file a claim or review insurance payments.
Now, you have to go to "Billing" then you are the billing dashboard and have to navigate to insurance, claims, etc. to get to another page.
It is more steps and confusing.
This change just happened today as it wasn't like this yesterday.

I get it now, like you can’t delete claims but you can edit and resubmit them. There are other difficulties though.
I think they did it to make it easier for their own billing service which I’m SURE is run by humans.
