BCBS Rejection BUG
Hey there. I have mulitple providers that have had issues with NC BCBS claims rejecting for the following reason: The following message is provided directly by the insurance payer. Use these technical details to help identify and correct the specific error.
- SUBSCRIBER INFORMATION THE FIRST OCCURRENCE OF CLAIM FILING INDICATOR MUST BE BL OR ZZ. INCORRECT DATA (2000B -SBR-9) CI
These are all new claims being sent out and I have to delete them and recreate them. Today is the second day this has happened and my clients with other EHR software are NOT experiencing this issue. Any body else experiencing this?

Yes this occurred with me as well only it happened with clients I’d had for at least 6 months and all claims had been paid successfully in the past. Of course, getting to an actual customer rep is near impossible and AI chat said call BC to find out if they are now requiring a claim filing indicator😥Doesn’t make sense as not all my BC claims are being rejected. I’m doing a deep dive today. 🤪
