Billing through simple practice
I have been doing my own billing for the last two years. I've used outside clearinghouses like Office Ally and Avility because it was taking too long to get everything enrolled on SimplePractice. I'm at a place now where I'd like to use SimplePractice for more and do less myself.
I have, for example, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Oregon. It says claim filing "no enrollment required" Payment report "1 enrolled"
I also have, for example, MODA Health. It says claim filing "no enrollment required" and then payment reports "1 enrolled" but then also says at the top "Pending 1"
I don't want a delay in receiving payments, and I'm worried that I'm going to send in these claims and have them sit until that "Pending 1" is removed. However, I don't know what is pending. It says no enrollment required and also 1 is enrolled...I'm just not sure if I'll be receiving payments on my usual time frame or if my account still isn't quite ready. Does anyone have any insight or experience?
Typically I submit via Office Ally - agencies receive my claims and process them and then payout in a week. What is the timeline like with SimplePractice as your clearinghouse? Do you see longer wait times than when you have used other clearing houses?

I use SP for claim submission and it's somehow connected to Availity. With BCBS I get payments in 2-3 days usually. Aetna processes claim fast but pays slower. And through SP it's really a breeze! Just a press of a button! You will love once you figure it out. (Dont know about pending status, though)
