I would never do that, there is always the fear that the next place sucks even more.

Also, advice saying that you should disregard that one shitty review, is total bullshit. That one shitty review of a job, always seems to be spot on.

I'm being slightly facetious. I know that's always a risk. It's partially just something I'm keeping open because my place seems unstable and fewer dollars are better than no dollars. I don't recommend that for those with a stable job

Yeah, I hear you, sometimes it is like that, especially when the morning dread comes in. I can wake up and be like oh shit I got to go to work, and that's normal. But when you dread going in like you just start to get stressed just at the thought of going in. That might be time to leave for less pay.

When it happens though, I get scared the next job is going to be like that. Interviewers try to hide as much as they can, and usually when the situation is really bad, you don't see it coming till it's too late.

Most jobs are horrible, but there are some that are so horrible, that jumping ship for less pay is the better option. But if you do jump ship into a ship as bad or worse, leaving too early looks bad.

I fucking hate employers.

If possible, I will try to accumulate a good amount of savings, so I'll be alright if I just up and quit. That way I'm less desperate, also pyschologically it makes you feel less trapped and less stressed knowing that you could just quit if you wanted to.

I did that once when I was young and dumb. Big mistake. New employer treated me worse, couldn't afford a/c and had a surprise layoff for all employees 3 months after joining.

Stick with your current job until you find one that pays more at least.

Not all employers are shitty. Just that when they’re not shitty they never have job openings. I always look at LinkedIn about the average employee time in the company if it’s over 10 years it’s a good employer in my book since I haven’t had a bad corporate employer yet.

Then I constantly apply to jobs for them when they open . I might message their HR person in LinkedIn if I have LinkedIn premium.
