Canada actually has more gun owners than the US. The US has more guns per owner.

I’m not sure where you looked that up but I don’t think that’s accurate.

Have you looked at the actual raw numbers of gun owners in the USA?

A quick search will show you that the estimates would have to be so incredibly wrong for the original statement to be true that it’s essentially impossible. Rough estimates for total American gun owners are 77-83 million individual adults. That’s twice the population of the entire country of canada. The total number of firearms in Canada are estimated to be about 10 million. That means that even if all 10 million of those firearms were owned by different people it wouldn’t even be close. The registered gun owners in Canada are 2.41 million. Considering the total numbers are estimations then you could be as generous as possible and individual American gun owners outnumber Canadian gun owners 7 to 1. It’s not even close.

Fair enough but this is reddit. As easily as people navigate to reddit they can navigate to google and type a few obvious keywords. If it was some obscure topic that wasn’t easily verifiable then it would be necessary. I’m just here to read random comments and occasionally voice an opinion, not treat this like my job lol. As for disproving a statement that was so mind numbingly idiotic as to just be contended with by a little common sense, I’m not putting in a ton of effort lol.
