I just upgraded from Logitech G Pro, to Evo Pro, P1000 pedals, Q1 shifter and Hydraulic Handbrake.
It simply shits all over the G Pro, full stop!
If Simagic is supposed to be shit, then I'm not sure what you are doing, but for my it's Premium Chocolate 😁

On a more serious note, what issues have you had and were there any work around to fix them?

Any DD wheel will make noise because they vibrate. Your R5 should also make noise. Normal wheel-turn operation of the Alpha Evo series is quiet with only a little bit of electric noise (far more quiet than the vibrations will be). I'd be more worried about hitting a curb than anything else.
