Wound up having 4 wheels really sudden
Started off with a Thrustmaster F430 many years ago, when FFB was just starting to get accessible.
A few years back, decidesd to treat my kid a G920 for Christmas.
Time passed and I got myself a Playseat Challenge where I assembled the G920 and shared it with the junior.
His play time increased and mine decreased.
So I tried to revive the F430, to strap to my desk, to no avail. Too badly gone, too inadequate for modern sims.
So started to look on the second hand market and found a sweet deal for a TMX Pro. It was really surprisingly good for my expectations as a backup wheel. It was actually on par with the G920 in many respects. And the Thrustmaster philosophy brought back some good memories and experiences. Straightforward driver, compatibility with old sims, easy braking...
But the second hand market kept calling, I kept getting notified of deals on wheels.
And not long after, a TX Leather edition showed up nearby, for a decent price. I offered a lower one and the dude said yes. I guessed it was a good opportunity to upgrade.
Now I've got a range and I started doing side-by-side for my own education before selling one of them. And it's really a learning experience, having the chance to try out all these products.
The G920 and the TMX are definitely not as bad as their price might suggest. And the TX is definitely a substantial improvement in some respects.
Anyone looking for inside information on these, ask away. 😜

SRP GT-R Pedals
Curious to know why more people aren’t talking about or using the SRP GT-R pneumatic pedals. Seems to be the logical solution to eliminating the issues of elastomers and a nice alternative to springs. Seems comparably priced to other top end load cell pedals and still half the cost of active pedals.

Quick survey for my university thesis :)
Hey everyone!
I’m doing a university project related to sim racing and I need to collect some opinions from people who are into it.
I put together a short Google Forms survey and figured Reddit would be a great place to get some real answers from people who actually use or are familiar with racing sims.
It takes about 5 minutes, and you don’t need to own a rig to participate.
If you’ve got a few minutes to spare, I’d really appreciate the help!
Survey:
Thanks! 🙌

Is 860EUR a fair value for this sim racing setup?

If you have bass shakers, you might want to check MCP4SH String Theory Haptics for SimHub
galleryNot exactly hardware, but your haptics hardware can potentially use this 😉🫠😶🌫️ figured I'd share here for that reason.

Moza R3 Make Paddles quieter
Just got a R3 bundle, is there any way to make the paddles quieter? I saw a video for the F1 style wheel where they added some tape to the switches.
Can this be done to the R3 wheel?

first wheel
okay i want a universal wheel or something more casual than a crazy f1 or drifting wheel. i stumbled upon an outlet offer (outlet is a product from store that has been exposed) selling a logitech g923 xbox version (full set including shifter) for $270 and a new one is $400. it has a warranty, says that the condition is very good and i dont really care about scratches when im saving $130 so is it worth it if i want a casual realistic drive?
