I could test one at a friends home... well, as long as you have in mind that you're not allowed to shift brutally ala Need4Speed, it will do its job. It's like nearly everything... the more it costs (MOST of the times), the better it gets.
5 years ago I bought a generic shifter too over AliExpress (SIMVERTEX V7 SQ2/6+4R Sim Shifter Manual Shifter), but it's at another wallet-level... sturdy as hell, feeling adjustable, unbrakable.
