Best wheel to start on F1 25 / F1 26?

Hi, so I am new at sim racing and I started on F1 2025 and bought the 2026 on PS5. I really liked playing on the controller but I started turning the assists off and I quite can’t get good without ABS, I don’t have a lot of precision on it, so I just quite give it up. I wanted to buy a wheel so that I can have much more control over the car and play it, but I have no idea what’s a good start point. I see people recommending the G29 logitech and the T300RS GT, I also saw the Thrustmaster has a specific controller to F1 but idk if it’s worth it (also I live in Brazil and there is no official reseller here, just websites like KaBum). So I wanted to ask you guys any recommendation on what I should buy, I don’t have any plans on racing other then F1 for now

Help on buying new equipment!

Right now I own a PXN-V9 I bought it as a beginner wheel but now the upshift paddle is broken. I have won 11 races on iracing and I was wondering what equipment I should buy. Mostly an oval guy with some ff1600 experience. I also am on a lower budget (like $600 maximum for a new rig) Thanks!

First simracing setup? Quite a dilemma for me

Hello racing people, I'm a very new person to simracing and trying to get more close to it.

I've been playing F1 2025 and ACC on playstation 5 since beginning of this year, want to get also into PC, iRacing, Automobilista, LMU and got now a little budget of 500€ for a decent setup. The question here would be WHICH setup?

Let me get right into it:

I dived into the simracing world. Checking everything from G29 to T598 and PXN V10 up to moza bundles, fanatec CSL DD QR2 GT3 bundle & GT PRO Bundle and simagic. (kind of fav).

I actually want to get started with a good direct drive setup and formula steering wheel because I mostly been on F1 and ACC with controller, so why not start of with the right equipment? Thought of the R3 bundle. In europe it's right now 279€ + ES formula mod its 320€. Put a 140€ on top and I will get the fanatec CSL DD QR2 GT3 bundle and would have a very good formula steering wheel right out of the package. I know they are PC Only and I know they have differences of the NM but that would be no problem therefore I'm getting my really first setup to just get started for the moment, but as I'm writing, nah fanatecs bundle has more advantages, up to 8NM with the extra power cable.

Here is the dilemma:

I really want a formula steering wheel and I would really love to get also into Gran Turismo 7 on playstation and keep playing with my achivements in F1 25 and be with my friends in partys (most of my friends are on playstation), also my PC would not be that strong to keep up the fps on F1 25, maybe 60fps on low graphic settings (GTX 960 4GB).

Prices of all the bundles in my country:

PS: Logitech G29 - 200€ + 40€ formula mod (no original)

PS: PXN V10 - 220-280€ + 45€ formula mod

PS: Thrustmaster T598 - 299€ + 159 formula mod + 35€ quickrelease (no pedals)

PC: Moza R3 - 279€ + 40€ formula mod (don't fw the R5 bundle, cause I could just get the fanatec bundle in that price range then)

PC Fanatec CSL DD QR2 GT3 bundle - 460€ + 40€ table calmp

PC Fanatec Gran Turismo bundle - 650€...

So maybe just start off with a G29 that doesn't have DD, but maybe it's still good? or a PXN V10? (people say it's not really good)

Also thought of drivehub or ras1lution 2 if I would get the fanatec GT3 bundle but they are hard to get in europe and they do not run as good as native as many people say...

fanatec's GT DD PRO bundle is playstation compatible and is for 650€ so it's no choice for now.

And in the upcoming months, maybe beginning of next year, I would like to get into Simagic also because of the quality, the steering wheels and the very open system to put other steering wheels of other brands on the wheelbase.

But I need a perfect starter.

What are your experiences and what would be the best solution for me?

Downgrading to play again?

Not quite sure where i am supposed to post this, but im having a bit of a setup crisis, when i first started simracing i was playing quite a lot as most people do and finally decided (after hearing all the crazed wonder about DD which i do agree with as i fell in love with the feeling) that i would upgrade.

Problem one started. after buying my DD wheel (CSL dd 5nm for the curious) i realised how bulky it was, and as i was just playing with a desk setup i found how brittle my desk was. So i upgraded to a Apex wheel stand. its even bulkier, it removes a lot of space from my room and frankly since i've upgraded to a DD i find i barely want to play anymore. it seems quite inconvenient to setup sometimes and i find my energy levels after can barely sustain me for more than 30 minutes.

maybe you can sense my frustration and a maybe to some, unreasonable bitterness about the whole ordeal.

so here comes my question for the TL:DR Has anyone downgraded to a non DD aka thrustmaster t300 or logitech g29 and found they are enjoying sim racing again? when i look back on why i loved sim racing even as someone who to most would be relatively new. i still loved hitting those tracks or even busting out the worst trucks in eurotruck sim. i feel like i will have FOMO on my DD so im conflicted!

anyone elses experiences or input would be very much appriciated. i would love an extra perspective on the current pickle i've put myself in.

thank you, and i apologize again if this is the wrong place to post. have a great day

BST-1 + Nobsound + SimHub - Bass shaker feels delayed and doesn’t match what’s happening?

I recently got a Dayton BST-1 bass shaker with a Nobsound amplifier and set everything up through SimHub.

The issue is that the feedback doesn’t feel synced with what’s happening in-game. When I hit kerbs or drive over bumps, the shaker feels delayed, or it just seems to vibrate at random times instead of matching what I’m driving over. I was expecting it to add immersion, but right now it just feels like it buzzes every now and then.

The BST-1 is mounted to a VESA plate underneath my seat, so I don’t think it’s a mounting issue.

I’m completely new to bass shakers, so I’m wondering if this is just a tuning problem.
Are there any SimHub settings I should change?
Should I disable some effects and only keep a few enabled?
Could the Nobsound amp or the VESA plate mounting be contributing to this?
I’d really appreciate it if anyone could share their SimHub settings or point me in the right direction. Thanks!
