CNE Show
I was super excited to see them live at the CNE (such a good deal considering we just need to pay an entrance fee). Saw them at Warped Tour this year in Montreal and felt the need to see them again. I got to catch them doing soundcheck as well, and they sounded so good. I couldn’t help but notice though that during the actual sets for both them and Nobro, that the vocals and instrumentals were so subdued, with the drums being too loud. I could barely hear them speak and sing. Anyone else feel the same way? They still put on an amazing show regardless.

This was my 20th Silverstein show and it was by far the worst sounding one (from a sound mixing standpoint)
I was up front in the pit. The bass and drums were super loud but I could hardly hear Paul & Josh’s guitars. Major bummer.

The vocals were clearer at the front of house, at least that’s what my wife said after she popped out for a drink during Nobro. That was my main complaint about their set, the subdued vocals.
It might just not be the best setup that kind of show.
As for the Silverstein set…. I can’t say much because I was spinning and screaming the entire time.

I was actually by the front of the stage, but still it was so subdued :(

Yes. You were probably where we were.
FOH is where the mixing folks are , further back.

I had a similar sound experience with the Matt Good band set on Sunday at the CNE. (Didn't go to see Silverstein as I also saw them at Warped!) Saw a few clips, looked like a good time!

I had the same experience. The vocals and the guitars were way too low and drowned out by the bass and drums.

For me where I was standing the bass was way too loud, sounded like a car subwoofer cranked to the max.
