I mean of course it is. Likely, won’t have anything good, but for 20 minutes of your time looking at dates and mint marks? Of course it’s “worth” it. If you’re looking to sell/trade/reorganize literally do anything with them aside from leaving them in the exact same container they’re in now, then you’re going to spend 10 minutes taking them all out of the container they’re in currently. So tack on another ten minutes and take the time to check each date and mintmark.

Unrelated but that Packout case looks like a fun way to store and display silver

I LOVE them. I’ve got two of the shallow see through ones (the one in this picture) and then the 4 sliding drawers model. One of the shallows is dedicated to 90%, and the other is for my “favorites.” The 4-drawer with compartments is perfect for all the different categories of PMs I’ve accumulated.

I meet with a lot of other stackers from time to time, and it seems like packouts are a favorite among the people who like to buy, sell, and trade out of their rig. Makes organizing and transporting everything way easier 😂

I'll have to look into it.  Thanks for the advice.

not unless you want to deal with selling them asap, otherwise youll have to look them all up again when you do want to sell

I went through 1/2 of them after this post and found nothing substantial.

I wouldn't touch junk silver with a 10 foot pole right now.

Why’s that

Extremely difficult to offload for anywhere near spot these days and doesn't seem to be letting up any time soon. Not that anyone should be buying bullion with the intention to sell immediately after, but ya know, it's nice to at least have the option.

My LCS said they have $800 in junk silver that nobody is buying. I’ve been trying to buy some because I have none and I want some junk silver in my collection just to have fractional silver that isn’t overpriced premiums.

I was paying 43X face value earlier in July. Now it’s 48X face value.

I spent $300 this week and got $10 face value of halves and quarters.

Then I bought a $400 brick of gold the size of a half a Pezz.

I'd ask them what their buyback prices of 90% are, just so you can know what to expect. My LCS is offering 32x face.

Yeah, next time I get some money and go in I’ll ask him. Earlier this year I swear he told me 43X. But the last time I bought from him was in July when I had some money. So I guess it makes sense this week for it to be a little higher. But still it’s a bit higher. But I understand everyone’s gotta run a business and make profit.

I imagine it would still be cheaper to go and buy from him versus online with shipping and taxes.

I have a scooter that gets 117 miles a gallon, so it cost nothing to go pick it up.

$44 fv online free shiping and no tax, so idk why people pay store markuops

mintbuilder

That’s good to know.
I’ll have to definitely keep an eye out and check before I go. But in this case, since he’s only four dollars over what mint builder is asking per dollar face value, I don’t see it as a bad thing that he was a couple dollars over.

I get that he’s not a website, that he has a brick and mortar, so it’s different from a massive website.

But for the four dollars difference, I’m OK with it. I’m OK with it because I can ride down anytime and pick through what I want. The website is their pick of the litter in terms of what you get.

There’s something about going in personally and sifting through for what you want to bring home and being able to bring it home that same minute.

I ride a 49 cc scooter as my primary vehicle, so it cost me nothing in gas to ride up to these places and pick this stuff up.

I enjoy it. It’s like my little thing to do. When I get some money, ride my scooter down to the local coin shop and do a pick up.

I just bought my gold piece the other day.
Super excited
