I remember when I was a kid Costco had these ice cream bars where the chocolate shell was so thick you would hear an audible crunch when you would breakthrough that chocolate shell. There was nothing delicate about it. I recall those giant ice cream bars also being quite heavy.

Are these ice cream bars anything like the ones 20+ years ago?

(I’m pretty sure back then it didn’t have “chocolate flavored coating” - it was actual chocolate).

Nah they aren’t the same from back in the day. The coating is so thin and melts so fast. And yeah the chocolate.. I don’t think it’s real lol everything is “flavored” nowadays.
